we fell asleep in each other arms . it was peaceful and calming.
I woke up his hair tickling me. I realized he was on my chest I pushed him off of me and slid out of bed. I got up and walked into the living room where Shiro was he was in some joggers and and a graphic t-shirt. I walked over and sat on the couch next to his he took a long sip of his coffee "so how was Keith well behaved" he asked I nodded "yeah he's in his room we were playing video games all day we picked up Cosmo and I heard someone walk in so I came in to check" I said I was lying but I thought I covered it up well "mhm lance as your boss and your friend I know when your lying so I'm gonna have to make fun of it" he said smiling "oh yeah what did I lie about?" I said "ok well first you weren't playing video games you were watching movies cuddling and from the smile on Keith's an your faces I take it you two got along second you didn't hear me walk in I've been sitting here for thirty minutes" he said I went red
Keith walked in he had a blanket around him his mullet was a mess I smiled at him " hey Keith, I guess you were right Shiro I did lie" I said smiling "it was obvious lance anyway how was your nap Keith?" he asked turning his direction to the boy wrapped in a blanket keeping hiss space around me "I wasn't sleeping uh lance came to get snacks we were um were we were watching a movie" he said waking up I laughed "mhm I'm sure you loved your new body pillow as well?" Shiro asked with a chuckle "so lance you have a case to work the day after tomorrow" he said I groaned "what type?" I asked "I um well its your first actual case its just a vandal you think your up for it?" he asked I nodded "I mean it should be easy I am your sharpshooter" I said with my usually cocky tone he laughed "oh the only reason I'm allowing you this case is because you know your way around a paint gun lance and besides I'm sure doing rounds in a neighbor hood will get boring" he said Keith slid over to me and fell a sleep on my shoulder "dude I got to break up a knife fight chased a guy in platforms all while I didn't have my gun on me. I ate gummy worms and sour patch kids for my lunch and I got cuddles doing my usual route doesn't bother me at all in fact just being able to de stress with pidge its fun we have a good cry at night sometimes so" I said while staring to braid Keith's hair "you didn't have your gun?" Shiro asked "no I didn't need it it was in the car I know its not protocol I just left in a hurry and forgot it :)" I smiled at hi and started an other braid "where'd you learn to braid?" he asked "oh my sisters and nieces" I braided their hair everyday b4 school it took an hour for me and my dad" i said smiling "big family?" he asked I nodded "yeah 8 of us 5 girls 3 boys" I said he let out an audible groan Keith fell asleep on me and I froze up "hey if you wanna stay over you can" Shiro offered i shook my head remembering veronica "no I cant I'm really sorry uh tell Keith I said thanks and give him my number" I said I got up and picked Keith up "ima go put him in bed ok" I said i walked in him room and placed him down he let out a small groan "goodnight love" I said and kissed his head I took off my jacket and placed in on him like a blanket I walked out and left saying a quick goodbye to Shiro.
I walked to my car in my now wrinkled uniform. I drove off to my house. I walked in to see Ronica sitting on the couch with Nadia they were watching a kids show "lance Charles McClain where have you been" she said he tone was terrifying "uh um you know around" she stood up and gave me "that" look I gulped Nadia ran to her room and poked her head from around the corner "well I was kind of like watching my bosses kid and we both fell asleep...cuddling. i know Roni i should've called are you all alright?" I asked "wait? you hooked up with your bosses son?" she asked "what no we fell asleep on each other while cuddling god he's so hot his name is Keith Kogane nut anyway are you alright?" i asked "yeah the kids are slightly annoying but that comes with the parenting territory with having kids" she said with a smile "i wish i could help more i mean i know you don't work and keep the kids in line and Marco is working but i wanna do more i really wanna get other job" i said she looked mad "absolutely not your already stressed enough im not letting you" she said "you cant not let me I'm 21 and i can get one other job it'll be helpful you and Marco can get out of the house and live on y'all own start a family y'all are like 27 and still live with your siblings me and Rachel can do it on our own Silvio and Nadia arent that hard to deal with you can have a decent life and get yourself out there you know move oin and have a good last part of your life well check in and you know if we need help you'll be there" i said "one more job wont do anything" i said with a weak smile she slapped me "absolutely not I've already lost mom and dad." she said "fine...ill be taking on more shifts also I'm working thro and the next day I'm not sure about the next" i said i walked in my room to see Marco he was on a call with a professor "I know I'm slipping i just need some more time" he said he was serious.
I walked out "I'm going0o on a drive ok" i said and left i grabbed my bike and drove to a little park i grabbed my phone and called pidge "hey pidge" i said as she picked it up "hey lance what's up? I'm still at the station I'm off the clock though" she said i smiled "that's good [podge i might come in tomorrow :)" i said "oh why ?" she asked i heard a twig snap behind me "oh you know i Need the overtime" i said i heard a rattle so i assumed it was a m0ther i mean it wasn't that late "oh is Roni on your ass again?" she asked "oh is everything ok? are you at home? i can come pick you up?" she asked frantic i let out a laugh "nah I'm good pidge and I'm not at home at the moment" i said sitting down at a bench. "what where are you" she said her voice was alarmed like she ran for her life. "i walked out on veronica and drove off to a park so" i said with a sigh. "oh i hope everything gets better" she said "yeah me too but hey its kinda my fault i started the fight" i said i loked at the time its been ablout an hour "hey its getting late i should go" i said getting up. "ok lance i love you ttyl" she said and hung up.
