"can you leave?" i asked xolo, who sat on my bed begging me to go bowling with everyone
"no, no i cannot" xolo answered "i already said i don't wanna go" i sighed "so, you'd rather listen to Olivia Rodrigo all day?" xolo asked
"yes" i answered "i don't even enjoy bowling" i added "you can bring emma" xolo suggested "she's busy" i said "how about ethan" xolo said "no" i said "why?" xolo asked "because" i answered "who cares about jacob?" xolo asked "he's bringing serena anyways" he blurted, then covered his mouth right after
"he is? why?" i asked "once he left my house he went straight to hers, said she's the only one who'd understand" xolo sighed
"what the fuck, we aren't even fully broken up yet" i said sitting up
"i'm sorry nai, he's just stupid and-" xolo tried to rumble "i'll go" i interrupted "you will?" xolo asked
"yeah, i'm gonna catch a ride with ethan though" i said "you're gonna bring him?" xolo asked "yeah, it's not like me and ethan are a couple" i shrugged
xolo just nodded before walking out, once xolo left i called ethan
"what do you- hey, what's wrong?" ethan asked picking up my facetime call to see tears building up in my eyes
"it's jacob" i answered "after our fight he went to his ex, he said that she was the only one who'd understand" i cleared my throat
"and he said that to me the first time he apologized" i added "holy shit, uh is there anything i can do to help?" ethan asked sitting up
"i actually agreed to go bowling with everyone, including jacob and i was wondering if you wanted to come" i said rubbing my forehead
"yeah, of course, i'll be there in 15" ethan said "thank you" i smiled before hanging up
once i hung up i sighed then went to my closet, i put on some decent clothes with a flannel since it gets kinda cold in the bowling alley

me and ethan were now standing outside of the bowling alley, i was a little hesitant to enter, knowing that i'd have to see my own boyfriend and his ex together, ethan noticed my uneasiness so he spoke up
"you okay?" ethan asked "i'm nervous" i admitted "i don't wanna see him with her" i said "you have me" ethan said holding his hand out
i let out a laugh before grab his hand "how did i get so lucky to get a friend like you?" i asked as we walked in "friend?" ethan asked "yeah what's wrong with that?" i asked "i was looking for best friend because i'm like.. limited edition" ethan joked
"shut up" i laughed as we approached everyone "there she is!" hannah yelled while running towards me and ethan
"hey ethan" hannah greeted after she hugged me "hey" ethan smiled "we're almost done with this game so we'll add you guys next game" hannah said, me and ethan just nodded
