the 2 girls were interrupted by yoimiya, "hey guys," she started as she rubbed her eyes, "can you pour me some- woah" she paused. keqing and ganyu were really close, keqing trying to get away. yoimiya laughed, "what are you idiots doing?" ganyu backed up, the 2 of them looked at yoimiya. "morning! also, doesn't she look really red? i think she has a fever! can you ask sucrose where her medicine is?" ganyu asked. "oh! um okay, ill be right back. pour me some cereal by the way!" yoimiya said as she left the room. ganyu started getting up for another bowl. "it's really not necessary." keqing said under her breath.
sucrose came out of her room with some medicine, "okay. keqing lay on the couch! we cant have you missing school during a project." "uhuh" keqing grunted. yoimiya and ganyu laughed. "oh, ill go get our uniforms from the dryer." ganyu said, leaving the room. "what are you giving me?" keqing asked in a tired tone. "actually i have no idea" sucrose said. keqing looked at her with a straightface, sucrose laughed awkwardly. she started getting up, "its really not necessary, look" keqing grabbed sucrose's hand and put it to her forehead, "im fine, i was just tired." sucrose was surprised, "oh you're right. i guess ganyu was mistaken." "i told you guys." keqing said, "im gonna go change."

"good morning everyone, yesterday i showed you a powerpoint on how your projects should look throughout the week, today you'll keep working on it. if you have any questions come up to my desk." the teacher said. the 4 girls grouped up at a table. "okay. we should get this done fast, so, each one of us will have a part of this slide of the project to do." keqing started. "okay boss!" yoimiya said, laughing. keqing assigned roles and they started researching through books.
after a while, ganyu peeked at keqings book, she got closer, "oh! can i take a look at this paragraph right here?" she pointed, "i saw something that might help with my part." ganyu said. "sure.." keqing responded. "pay attention to your book.." she said lightly under her breath. "no need to be so grumpy, people are gonna start calling you grumpy pants!" ganyu laughed. keqing was surprised, ganyu noticed. "oh! i just have really good hearing." ganyu smiled. keqing nodded and took her book back, immediately focusing, ganyu sighed.
after a few days, the group had gotten much closer. though keqing didn't talk much, it was fun having her around for her occasional faces. early year exams were coming soon, so studying season began. ganyu helped a lot of people with what books or strategies to use for studying. she was actually very helpful, and somehow convinced keqing to meet up to study.
keqing waited outside an empty classroom for ganyu to show up, she pulled out her phone to scroll through some tweets. she overheard some girls talking, "she's so full of herself. thinking she's all helpful. she really gets on my nerves." one girl said. keqing made an intrigued face. "exactly! and putting up this nice girl act, i really cant stand her. ganyu this ganyu that, no one ever shuts up about her now that its studying season or whatever." the other girl said, in an obviously annoyed tone. keqing was quite shocked that it was ganyu who they were badmouthing, a little angry too. she was about to approach them when, "hey keqing!" ganyu said, hugging her from behind. keqing paused, what are you doing?" she said, removing ganyu's arms. she giggled, "we should get going now, if not we wont have time to study!" ganyu said, grabbing her hand and walking opposite from the 2 girls. "where were you?" keqing asked, "oh! i was grabbing something from my locker, right here." she pointed at a locker, it was pretty close to where the 2 girls were. keqing then remembered when ganyu told her that she had quite well hearing. she looked up, staring at ganyus back. she definitely heard them badmouthing her. keqing felt bad, without thinking, it was her who hugged ganyu from the back.
ganyu was surprised. "umm, keqing?" she asked. "don't take this the wrong way. im not being affectionate, im just.. comforting you." keqing whispered, closing her eyes. ganyu made a faint laugh, her smile turning into a frown. she didn't really have anyone to vent to, before, she would turn to amber or yanfei, but they've been really busy lately.
after a few minutes, keqing pulled away, "lets go study now, okay?" she asked, a little awkwardly, looking away. ganyu nodded. they walked off, both super red, finally leaving school.
