It's 10 am. Naunang nagising si Ms. Gibson. Ms. Gibson is still hugging Gina. Ms. Gibson open her eyes and she sees the bright sunny day.
Ms. Gibson kiss Gina's forehead. Nagising na din si Gina just smiling at her Mommy. Ms. Gibson smiled back at her.
Gina: Goodmorning, Mommy.
Ms. Gibson: Goodmorning, Regina.
Gina: Did you sleep very well, Mommy?
Ms. Gibson: Somewhat. Did you sleep well?
Gina: Yeah. What do you mean by "somewhat"?
Ms. Gibson: Okay, the truth is I didn't get to sleep properly because I was thinking about you.
Gina: Why?
Ms. Gibson: I didn't want to loose you. You are the only person that understands me, that took care of me when I was very ill at school. Remember?
Gina: Yeah, I remember that day.
Gina got up stretched and rubbed her eyes.
Gina: From this day on, I can't forget about that day. I didn't even get to stay in the class and do my work, but I would rather not stay in class and me worrying about you also, I didn't get to eat my lunch because I was busy looking after you, guiding you to the washroom. I didn't want to leave your side. When you went home, I went back to my class and all I did was nothing. My mind was elsewhere. I was too busy thinking about you.
Ms. Gibson: I just want to say "Thank you very much, Regina. For everything you did for me. It's a good thing that you were there beside me because I don't think any other student would stay and do that for me. They will just leave me in my office and suffer the pain. But you, you stayed the whole time for me. I appreciate that." I don't really say this often to anyone but, "I miss you, Regina. I miss those days, you used to come by to my class every lunch time and stay there. I miss seeing you there."
Gina: I miss you too, Mommy.
Ms. Gibson just kissed Gina's forehead and she started crying.
Gina: I'm so alive today.
Ms. Gibson: That's good.
Gina: Yeah.
Ms. Gibson: I'm hungry.
Gina: Me too.
They're both hungry. Ms. Gibson doesn't want to go out because she can't leave Gina alone.
Gina: I have an idea.
Ms. Gibson: What? Tell me.
Gina opened one of the drawers and take her phone.
Gina: I'm going to call one of my favourite aunt and... (She didn't continue)
Ms. Gibson: And?
Gina: My Auntie Grace is coming today she was supposed to be the one looking out for me today. I'll just tell her to bring us food.
Ms. Gibson: Okay.
Gina dialed Grace's number.
Grace answers her phone.
Grace: Hello, Gina.
