My eyes blinked away the sleep and opened to be met with the sun peeking through my blinds, I was not looking forward to today. Today was the day I would go to Japan and stay there for my last year. Not that I wasn't looking forward to going back to japan but it was the fact I had to fly and I hate flying. I hadn't planned whether or not I would stay there for more than just a year, I just wanted to spend some time with my dad. 

My limbs stretched and bones popped before I sat up. As soon as I saw my reflection I was mortified, I mean I usually don't look good in the mornings but this was on another level of horrendous. I hurriedly got to the bathroom and submerged myself in the water coming from the shower. Makeup has never been one of my talents so usually, I would just put a bit of mascara on and dab my lips with lip balm.

Walking down the stairs, I smelt the delicious smell of pancakes wafting from the kitchen. 

"Good morning sweetie, I'm going to miss you."

"I know mum, I know but you can always come and visit anytime you want." I looked at her with a hope full look. I always wanted my parents to see each other or at least speak to each other but they never did. 

"Don't start with me again Shizu it's just not going to happen." A sharp tone could be found in her voice although I couldn't blame her, I did always annoy them both by nagging them to talk to each other. 

The pancakes did look good but because of the nerves, my appetite had gone. I pushed the plate away and got up to say goodbye to mum. 

"I'm going to check if I have everything ready for the flight and then start making my way to the airport." 

"Ok darling have a safe trip I better be of to work now but text me when you land." 

"Alright love you." 

She replied with a kiss and got her stuff before closing the door.

After a while, I finally boarded the plane and held on for dear life, despite the journey being steady. It wasn't until we landed that I felt safe again, god I'm happy I don't have to go on another flight for at least a year.
