The healing water

It's now two days after the forest fight. But everything was still stuck in my head. The noise of the whistle and violin was only getting stronger, I can even hear it in my dreams. I don't know if the forest fight was also a dream, it feels like one but I just know it's real. However, no one believes me when I tell them what happened, my mom told me to drink a cup of tea, and Karisa said I must have dreamed it. So I'm going to prove to her that it all happened. Maybe a small part of me hopes that Apollo would be there.. His name just sounds so familiar, I just can't place it.

"Honey, Karisa's here!" Mom yells from downstairs. Right on time.

I take my jacket off the chair behind my desk, then go downstairs and hug my mom before I go. "Don't be as late as you were Thursday sweetie, no excuses about weird monsters and your necklace that turns into a sword." She still didn't believe me, well Karisa will after today.

Karisa and I walk outside while mom closes the door behind us. "So, where are we going? Eating ice cream at Bella's?" Karisa asked excitedly. "Well no, we're going to the forest." She looks annoyed at me. "No, we're not! I'm done with this Eve. We always do something you want to do, with your stupid things in your head. Your just mentally sick, go see a therapist or doctor." Karisa never spoke to me like that, I could hear that she really is irritated. "Please give me one chance, I'm going to prove to you that I didn't dream it!" She rolls her eyes and just hops on her bike.

We ride to school and then ride the same way I got there, we didn't speak a word to each other.

"Okay follow me!" We walk to the tree that was standing next to the river. I remembered that Apollo's sword hit the back of the tree a little. "See! here it i-" There wasn't even a little scratch. "Your only proving me right, Evangeline. I'm going home this is only a waste of time." She walks away angry. "Wait no, Karisa! Don't leave." I climb into the tree to the part I was sitting Thursday, and there it was, I left a pencil in the tree cause I already knew no one would believe me if I told them what happened, well I did think Karisa would, believe me, so I didn't think I would need it to prove it to her. "Karisa! I have proof!" She keeps standing and turns around with her arms crossed. But as I want to climb down a gust of wind goes past my ears, I heard a voice in it.. the voice said; I'm sorry, but you leave me with no other choice. After that everything went black and the next thing I remember is water.

I am laying in the river next to the tree, Karisa is crying right upon my eyes. Next to her is Apollo, just staring at me without any emotion. "Omg Eve, I thought you wouldn't make it b- but then he came, his name is Parker. He helped you after you fell out of the tree. I don't know how but you healed so quick in the water, all your wounds are gone." Parker? Why didn't he just tell his real name? Maybe I did dream it all.. "Well thank you.. Parker?"

Karisa takes me out of the water, then gives me her jacket to keep me warm.

Me and Parker... Apollo what the hell his name is, walk a little further. "I thought you said your name is Apollo." He looks at me confused, so I probably was wrong and it all was a dream. "I- I don't know where you're talking about." He said. I notice something about him, he had a birthmark under his right eye, he didn't have that last time I saw him. I also see that his nails are black and that they're growing slowly. This wasn't the boy I met two days ago, he must be one of them... One of the monsters but in human form.

"Karis.. I- I think we should go" Parker if that even is its real name looks at me, I think he knows  I know. "What? Why? Our bikes are only a couple minutes from here." I try to sign with my eyes that she just needs to listen. I nod to his nails, and she startles. "Ehm... oh yeah we're going to get ice cream at Bella's." She says. He smirks, it's not a kind smirk but an evil one, I take three steps back to Karisa. "You're not going anywhere!" He says. It's the same terrifying voice I heard last time.

He grabs my arm with its hand that is turning into a piece of meat like last time. Karisa tries to run away but with its other meat hand that stretches so far that it could grab her leg. "Evangeline, Evangeline, Evangeline. Your scent is just so strong, that I found you within no time, and because of Apollo, it was easier to trick you and your little friend." He says. "Apollo? Y- you mean the greek god of the sun?" Karisa says while she's laying on the ground al tightened by the arms of the monster. "Yes of course child. You're different from the other humans, Karisa, I would almost think that your one of them." One of them what does it mean by that? One of who? A Greek god..? No, they aren't real, it's impossible. "But why- why us? And what in the hell are you?!" He looks surprised at me. "You don't know it yet. Well, I guess you'll never know, 'cause you're going to be dead." What does it mean with don't know? What don't I know? Well, it's going to kill us now, so no point in thinking about it. Wait, the necklace.

With my hand that wasn't grabbed by the thing, I grabbed my necklace. But it isn't helping a lot, it still is a necklace. "Please turn into a sword please." I say quietly in myself.

"So.. let's save the best for last. Karisa your first, any last words?" It says. Karisa is laying there trying to find her way out of his grip. "No? Then you'll just be dead." It pulls his arm back, then it opens its mouth with Karisa hanging above. She screams, so hard that some birds even fly away. I can't see her like that, I need to save her. "μετατράπηκε σε σπαθί" When I say that my necklace turns into a sword. The monster almost puts Karisa in its mouth but I stop him. I cut the arm where he grabbed my with off when I do that he throws Karisa at a tree. "It's now you and me, Evangeline." It said with an evil smile on its face. I could feel the power going thru my veins, it felt so good. It runs at me with its mouth open, his sharp teeth are ready to tear me into pieces, but my reflexes are faster, I cut off his head before its teeth could go into my skin. Just like the time before he just disappears.

Right after I run to Karisa who is bleeding next to the tree. "No, no, no. Karisa stay with me." I cry beside her, trying to wake her up.

"Evangeline please take a step away." I turn around and there he is, Apollo. I take a step to the left but not a too big step,  'cause you can't trust anyone apparently. He sits before Karisa, then he closes his eyes. After three seconds Karisa opened her eyes, the first thing she does is shoe away from Apollo. "Calm Karisa, this is the real Apollo. Not that monster, you're safe now." She still was scared of him, which's totally understanding, I mean she just saw him turning into a piece of meat that wants to kill us.

We bring Karisa home, and then me.

Apollo didn't come on a bike so I needed to go on the back. I held him very tight, which brought so much warmth to me. "Are you going to tell what that thing was.. what I am?" He keeps silent for a couple of seconds, then says. "You need to find that out yourself." Well, he isn't very good at answering questions, is he?!

After half an hour of riding, I start noticing that we weren't going my way home. I already noticed it before but I thought he maybe knew a faster way. He stopped the bike net to a hill.

"Apollo.. this isn't my home." He looks at me with his ice-blue eyes, then grabs my arm tight and says, "You're not going home."
