Emotional car drive

You know that feeling when someone has something which you really want and shows the thing of indirectly all the time and you can't take the feeling of jealousy anymore. Yeah that's the current situation of kwon hoshi .He's had this irritating feeling since afternoon and it's killing him inside and outside. But in this situation  instead of a 'something', it's a someone. 

To put it simply, Hoshi has a crush on Woozi, formally known as Lee Jihoon.

They first met in middle school where Hoshi had newly transferred. It was obvious that Woozi was popular, I mean he had everything. He could sing , dance, play a variety of instruments, was smart ,not to mention extremely cute and the most beautiful fact of them all is that he's so humble about his gifts. Hoshi had always admired him and when he held a conversation with Woozi , it was impossible not to fall in love with him. 

Even though Hoshi was quite confident and straightforward in his approach's, he could never bring himself to confess to Woozi. So he just waited for his imaginary confidence to come but it never did. Unfortunately his best friend, Jun had caught wind of his friends behaviour, connected the dots and now has swore to keep it a secret and be one of the best  wingman to his friend. Hoshi wasn't sold on the idea at first but then again, if Jun doesn't help him, who will?

Fast forward to freshman year where Hoshi gained some confidence and started his plan to make Lee Jihoon fall in love with him.

Step 1: make conversation with the target. Don't get too excited and scary him away (you can do that when you start dating). Listen to whatever he says and stuff it in that tiny brain of yours.

Step 2: become friends with him. That's all I got.

Step 3: once you get close to him, gradually start using pick up lines (I'll teach you some don't worry) the cringe the better.

Step 4: be the tiger you are and confess once you are sure that Woozi won't  hit with his guitar

Not the greatest plan but considering it was made at the dead of night ,it'll work.

Honestly, it was all going well. Hoshi had conquered till step three and was ready. Unfortunately fate wasn't in his favour because the same day he planned on confessing, Woozi had been asked out  by a middle schooler in his senior year to which he accepted. He was complaining to Jun about how the boy who had asked him literally begged him and was annoyed about it but the smile on Woozi's face was telling Hoshi another story.

Pitiful wasn't it. Being rejected without even confessing. Dejected, Hoshi just stayed friends with him as even though it hurt Hoshi, Woozi's happiness mattered the most. So as time went on he hoped that his feelings would fade away as well.He did seem convinced that his feelings became non existent until he met Kim Mingyu, the boy who presumably just asked Woozi for help on something last year. He was that middle schooler to who Hoshi had lost. 

Hoshi had accepted the fact that he and Woozi would remain friends and that it wasn't his place to meddle in others issues but seeing the incident that happened today made him remember his  feelings and make him go into a furry of emotions. Seeing that sitting at home was going to make it worse, he decided to get some fresh air and calm down.

So that's why he's currently aimlessly driving around in his car, blasting SHINee music to drown out his sorrows.

Hoshi knows he's overreacting but he can't help but feel this way about him.He felt tears well up in the corner of his eyes, it was stupid to cry over it so he quickly wiped them away. He stopped his car, knowing he might over speed at this rate. Getting a speeding ticket is something he would not want right now. He glanced out his window to see a McDonald's restaurant fortunately still open. Seeing he still wasn't eaten dinner, those burgers don't look so bad.

He decided to call his best friend, Junhui, to sob with as he's the only know who knows. Actually somehow seungkwan found out as well, which it strange but then again he isn't the official tea supplier of out school for nothing. Anyways his so called best friend picked up after four rings, even though he's a bit salty, he remembered that Jun was hanging out with his partners if the S.M.A project so he can't blame him too much.

'Jun ah, do you wanna eat McDonald's and cry over my crush right now?'

'Uhhh junhui is in the bathroom' answered a muffled voice

Silence. It that moment of silence, Hoshi realised how much he fucked up in that sentence. Now some rando who answered his friends phone,knows how miserable is he about his crush. Just wonderful.

'Who are you and why do you have Jun's phone?'

'Well funny story, I needed his phone to check something and you were calling but then I accidentally answered it' the unknown person said nervously chuckling.

'Jun does lend his phone to friends all the time but then who are you?'

'I'm one of his S.M.A partners, can't introduce myself cause you know, I wanna pass this grade'

'Well that explains thing, could you ask jun if he's coming to eat dinner with me?' He asked a bit inpatient.

'We're actually going to eat ramen, so I don't think he's going to come'

'...ah I see, well enjoy your dinner and ask jun to call me back when he's done, I'll see you around, I guess'

Hoshi cut the call before the other person who respond back. He seriously feels like shit, but he can't always run to jun. 

'Sigh why am I so hopeless, it's pitiful at this point' he mumbled to himself.

He was about to continue to wallow in his misery when he heard multiple beeps for his phone. He checked it to find that seokmin and seungkwan where both currently hungry and will go on a rampage soon enough. Seeing his friends being their fun selves, lifted hoshi's spirits up. He quickly typed in that he's got food and got responses within seconds saying they would met him there. 

Fate's got a funny way to do things.

'Hey Junhui, who's 'my annoying hamster'?

'Oh my friend, Soonyoung, why did he call or something?

'Yeah I answered it by mistake, he seemed pretty down. Go talk to him later'

'Of course I will, I'm not his best friend for nothing' answered jun a bit offended 

'Good now let's go get some ramen, our other friend might start without us'

'Also Junhui, when this project gets over, I want to met you friend, if that's alright?'

'Sure I don't mind' he said shrugging 'why thought?'

'He seems interesting'
