it's been a week.

jungwon's eyes still glistened with tears from what had happened. he was accompanied by ni-ki who had been trying to talk to him but jungwon remained lost in his thoughts, staring into nothingness.

"hyung..."

jungwon snapped back to reality and looked at ni-ki who was gazing at him with concern. with a faint smile jungwon mustered the words, "can i go outside? i just want some fresh air."

"but you need to-"

"i promise, i'll take my medication when i come back." jungwon interrupted, leaving ni-ki no choice.

"fine, but just for a little while hyung. your body still needs rest, hm?"

jungwon nodded silently in response. ni-ki guided him into a wheelchair before adjusting the necessary medical equipment that couldn't be left behind.

soon they were both out of the room- however they hadn't gone far when ni-ki's phone suddenly rang. he glanced at his phone and then at jungwon who was observing the other patients.

"uh.. hyung it's heeseung hyung calling. just stay here for a moment, is that okay?" ni-ki asked hesitantly but jungwon smiled.

"i'm fine, i won't go far. promise."

ni-ki sighed and looked at jungwon once more but the reassurance in his hyung's smile brought a small smile to ni-ki's face. before he walked away he gently ruffled jungwon's hair and chuckled.

"i'll be back, hyung!"

jungwon giggled as he watched ni-ki running off but the smile quickly faded as he glanced at the room beside him, her room.

he let out a sigh and began to maneuver the wheelchair he was sitting in. he made his way to the hospital balcony, where he could breathe in the fresh air and feel its coolness against his skin.

closing his eyes, tears began to flow slowly down his cheeks.

"why did you leave me?" he whispered.

for some unknown reason jungwon's eyes snapped open as he felt a sudden gust of wind. he turned his gaze to his side where he saw the girl in the black hoodie that he hadn't noticed before.

jungwon felt something unexplainable as their eyes met and they stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, neither daring to blink.

but their gaze was broken by a sudden shout.

"arah!"

both of them turned to where the voice came from where they saw a woman calling out to the girl. the girl nodded and began walking towards the woman, gradually disappearing from jungwon's sight.

jungwon blinked rapidly, unable to comprehend what had just happened and instinctively placed a hand on his chest, whispering.

"arah..."
