almost 3 weeks have passed since jungwon was admitted to the hospital.
it hasn't even been a month but he can't bear staying here any longer. he's bored and he feels like he's on the verge of losing his mind because he's even talking to himself.
aside from eating, sleeping and staring into space- what else can he do inside the hospital?
he can't leave his room without a companion. he can't ask the nurse to accompany him either because his grandma instructed that he shouldn't be allowed out unless they say so.
"i'm going crazy if i stay here any longer," jungwon murmured and then laid back down.
he stared at the ceiling, his mind wandering to various places until it returned to the memories of that night.
"m-mika..." he whispered, slowly closing his eyes but he quickly snapped them open at the sudden shout of someone.
"SURPRISE BISH!"
there, he saw the triplets - jay, sunghoon and jake.
"lower your voice jongseong, you're being disruptive," jake scolded.
"really? i thought these rooms were soundproof."
"you two- just shut up," sunghoon scolded the two and approached jungwon who was merely watching them. he caressed the younger one's hair as he smiled gently. "how are you?"
"i'm physically fine but mentally- i'm on the brink of losing it," he replied and laughed.
"oh please i hope not, i can't handle another person with abnormal thinking like jay," jake teased, grinning at jay.
jay raised an eyebrow. "excuse me?"
"come on," sunghoon interjected, nudging jay with his elbow.
jungwon couldn't help but laugh as he watched the three argue and play around. but their conversation halted when jungwon cleared his throat. "so, why are you all here?"
"why? are we not allowed to visit our favorite youngest brother?" jay asked.
sunghoon couldn't help but gag teasingly. "really huh? i'll tell ni-ki-"
"just kidding!" jay quickly interjected. "you're our second favorite youngest brother and ni-ki is still my number one favorite hehe."
"sheesh," jake reacted, turning his attention to jungwon. "but are you really doing okay now?"
jungwon nodded. "yep. actually i can move my legs now, unlike before when it was incredibly painful to even try."
"you didn't dislocate anything, did you?" he asked and jungwon nodded in response.
"that's great. your mom texted too, saying that you might be able to discharge later-"
"really?" jungwon couldn't contain his excitement in his voice.
jay cooed and couldn't resist pinching the younger one's cheek. "uh-huh, so get ready."
"okay," he answered, a smile forming on his lips.
but despite that, he couldn't help but feel anxious as there's a possibility that he would see the place where she was buried and just the thought of seeing it again is already extremely painful.
he still couldn't fully accept it.
