I woke up in immediate confusion. Emelia was still in my arms, but we had shifted a bit during the night.

Checking the clock on the nightstand I saw that it was 9 am. Everyone else was probably already awake and eating breakfast by now.

I decided I'd wake Emelia up since we had both been sleeping for quite some time. I gently shook her body that was laying against my chest. She stirred about before her eyes opened, meeting mine. She looked confused for a second and then smiled warmly.

"Good morning," I said, returning the same warm smile.

"Good morning," she responded sleepily as she buried her head into my chest.

"It's 9 am already," I said, giggling at how cute she is when she's tired. "We have to get up. Everyone else is probably already eating breakfast."

She groaned, contemplating whether or not it was worth it.

"But I like it here," she whined in a cute voice.

"Yes, but they are going to wonder why we slept in so late if we don't leave." I responded, holding back another laugh.

She groaned again.

"Fine. I'm going to go quickly brush my teeth," she said getting up and walking to the bathroom.

I waited in my bed for her to come back, so that I could brush my teeth before I went out to say good morning to everyone.

Once we had both finished getting ready, we unlocked the door and walked out.

I saw Josie and Jeffrey sitting at the dining table eating cereal, but I didn't see Andrew.

"Where's Andrew?" I asked them.

"He's in his room, I believe," responded Josie.

"Oh, did he eat already?" I asked, wondering if he had come out at all today.

Even if I wasn't sure how I was going to tell him about Emelia, or if I even would anytime soon, that wasn't going to stop me from hanging out with him.

"No. He came out of his room and then went back in after like 5 minutes. I don't know why," Josie responded while putting a spoonful of cereal in her mouth.

I guess I would have to go into his room if I wanted to speak to him.

After that short conversation with Josie, Emelia told me she was going to find something to eat, and asked me if I wanted anything. I declined and told her I was going to say good morning to Andrew first.

I walked into his room to find him completely awake, sitting up and scrolling through his phone.

"Good morning," I said plopping down on the bed with him.

"Morning," he responded in a monotone voice.

He seemed upset and I wasn't sure why.

"Are you okay?" I asked, worried.

"Yeah," he said half heartedly.

He placed a fake smile on his face, but I could see right through it.

"Andrew, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to figure out what upset him so much.

"Nothing. It's stupid," he replied lowering his gaze from mine.

"It's not stupid. You can talk to me about anything," I responded. I was starting to get worried.

I started to think that maybe he was upset with me because I didn't spend time with him last night. I mean it's possible, but that doesn't sound like him. He usually doesn't get upset if we end up not hanging out for a while. Maybe it was because of the encounter we had the night I came back. I wasn't sure.
