Helloooooo!!! Writing is hard :p
You might be wondering, "Well Skittle, why do you write then?" and the answer is bc it's fun and I want my 3 AM visions to be shared to the world! If I could just plan the plot, and not actually figure out how to write it, I would. Is there an app that can do that?? I bet it would be popular...
Anyway! I really hope you like this chapter!!!!! Now go read my story <3

"Oikawa."
Tooru turns around at the call of his name. Hajime walks up to the brunette and stops just short of him.
"Hey, Iwa-chan! What do you need?" Tooru asks though he assumes he already knows the answer.
"Are... This is going to sound crazy, and I'm probably wrong, but I just want to make sure," Hajime clarifies, causing Tooru to become tense in anticipation. "Are you safe at home?" Tooru's eyes widen. He would respond, yet Hajime continues with a ramble, "I know that's probably not the case because I have met your parents, and even though they are strict, they don't seem like the type. But, you told me that you're gay, and your parents are homophobic and- really strict, so I just want to-"
Tooru interjects Haime's thoughts of worry by placing a quick hand over his mouth. Tooru does not know why he felt the need, but his action seems to work. Hajime becomes silent almost instantly, eyes widening a fraction; their sight meets. They stare into the eyes of each other, feeling at peace. Tooru notices a hint of green in Hajime's eyes that he has never seen before. He feels a spark that he has pretended to experience with all of his past girlfriends. Tooru hesitantly lowers his hand, yet neither of the teens talk. Their minds go blank, just staring in awe of each other.
Hajime's thoughts flashes to the night Tooru came out. Then to all the instances where he has felt like this around his childhood friend. What is the word he is trying to think of? Admiration? Yes, but not the word he is looking for. Happiness? Still not right. Love? Does he love his best friend?
Tooru still stares at Hajime, thinking of how much he just wants to kiss him. His mind returns to his parents. No, he can't. He's not allowed. Tooru completely withdraws his hand and takes a step back; this causes Hajime to come to his senses also. Neither talk; they just stand there in awkward silence, with averted eyes and the hope of an interruption.
As if on cue, a new voice shouts, "Kawa! Over here!"
Tooru and Hajime both snap to the side to see half of Shiratorizawa's starting line-up. Satori is at the front of the pack with Ushijima, while Goshiki, Shirabu, and Semi walk behind them.
"Oh, Ten-chan! I forgot we were going out," Tooru says, letting out an awkward laugh.
Shirabu crosses his arms and asks with a glare, "How did you forget? You're the reason I was dragged out he-"
Semi shoves his elbow into the setter's side to quiet him. "Shut up, brat."
Tooru and Satori's eyes meet. "Ten-chan really wasn't kidding with those two," Tooru examines internally. They both start to giggle, but Tooru is the only one who has enough common courtesy to try and hold it back. The two "love birds," as Satori would put it, look at them. Confusion is written all over their faces.
