(A/N: I'm sorry if the last chapter seemed kind of forced! I just needed to write it if I wanted to write in this style! Also this chapters dedication goes out to @LinkinSkillet and @mychemicalarmin! Thank you all so much for supporting me by reading what I write! This chapter might be pretty short, but I have nothing to do today so there will most likely be another one published later today.)

Petra's POV

February

It had been a few weeks since Armin went missing and part of me felt like it was my fault. Yes, I told his grandfather about his so-called internet friend, and that might have played a part, but I still felt really guilty.

At the same time, I knew that I was trying harder than anyone to find him. His grandfather didn't even report him missing. I only found out after Armin wasn't at school for a few days and I made a house visit. His grandfather was overly calm about the situation. He was convinced that Armin would come back crying eventually. It was just a matter of time.

I knew that wasn't true. He was probably halfway across America by now. He probably figured out someway to steal a car or something by now. The kid was clever.

I was doing what I could to find him, but somewhere in my heart, I knew that he was way past the point of being found. But I was still rooting for him.

I had only talked to Mr. Arlert once, and I had to admit he was kind of an asshole. He talked about Armin as if he was an object, and not a human.

It sounded weird for me to say it but I, even as a school guidance councilor,  was hoping that Armin would stay missing.

There was always a possibility of something bad happening to him. I didn't think that was the case, though. Like I said, he was smart. Armin would know not to hitchhike, or do anything possibly sketchy like that. He would find a way, even if that meant walking for him.

I understood that Armin was not on to give up easily, but according to his grandpa, he grabbed a blanket on his way out the door, and that was it. He was wearing socks, no shoes, might I add, sweatpants, and a t-shirt. He would have been cold, with no money and no where to go, so yes, I was worried.

There was one thing I knew I had to do if I wanted to help Armin.

I had to find Eren online.
