A machine beeped loudly right next to Bianca. She was barely aware of the needles in her arm that connected her to an IV bag. The rough sheets of her hospital bed were itchy on her bare legs.

Slowly Bianca began to open her eyes. Draco was asleep on a couch across the room and Narcissa sat next to the bed knitting. She looked up from her needles and quickly put her things down when she saw Bianca's eyes opening.

"Bianca! Oh you're awake! How are you feeling, dear?" She whispered as her daughter in law's eyes adjusted to the room's light.

It took her a moment to find her voice. Her dry mouth made it hard for the words to come to her mouth, only a croaking sound coming out.

"Hear, let me get you some water, and find a nurse." Narcissa smiled. Bianca nodded and pushed herself up to adjust her pillows.

Less than a minute later Bianca clutched a glass of water as Narcissa explained what had happened. As soon as she had passed out her mother-in-law had panicked and taken her to Saint Mungo's.

The dark haired witch explained how her temperature had risen to 39.7 degrees over night and that she was extremely dehydrated. Bianca had only been there for around two hours according to Narcissa.

"If I've only been here for two hours, then why did Draco leave work? He could've stayed." She rasped. Narcissa looked over at her exhausted son and frowned.

"I'm not sure. I think he was just worried about you." A mediwitch knocked on the open door frame of the room and entered.

"It's nice to see you awake Bianca. How are you feeling?" Bianca shrugged at the nurse.

"Tired. My throat is dry." The witch nodded slowly.

"Understandable. Well, I have a few questions for you if you feel up to it." The nurse smiled to reveal her teeth that had a small gap between her front teeth. Bianca nodded and the witch's smile widened even more.

"Perfect! First, how much stress would you say you've been under?" Bianca sighed and hung her head.

"Too much to be healthy if I'm being honest. At my work I'm handling a large case involving a dragon." The mediwitch tsked and made a note on her clipboard.

"How much physical activity have you been getting?"

"Well aside from constantly being on my feet at work, I enjoy taking long walks in different parks as often as I can." She said sheepishly. Another note.

"Have you been drinking water and eating the proper amount of food?"

"Food yes, and I try with the water but I sometimes forget." Bianca admitted.

The mediwitch made one last note then looked back at Bianca.

"I'm assigning you to bedrest for two weeks. Try to get away, relax, and stay off your feet. Only for restroom breaks are you allowed to get up." Bianca's face fell. "You'll come back in two weeks so we can check up again, and to get your first ultrasound."

The witch smiled again and turned to leave, the tight dark curls around her head swaying a bit. She stopped in the doorway and turned back to Bianca.

"You're free to leave whenever, sweetie. Just let the front desk know." She smiled one last time then disappeared down the white hall.

Narcissa strode across the room to her son and snatched the thin blanket thrown over his body, causing him to wake with a start.

"You idiot, you just missed all the information about your wife's health. Did you not sleep at all last night?" She scolded him. He scratched the back of his head and looked up at his mother with a confused, dazed look plastered on his face.

"Wha- not really. I was worried about Bianca all night." He said sheepishly.

"Liar! You were snoring the whole night." Bianca laughed. He scowled at her, his pink tongue sticking out at her. Narcissa shot her son one last look then strode back over to the hospital bed where Bianca lay to speak directly to her.

"Now dear, I brought an outfit for you. Something comfortable that will fit your stomach. I noticed how you haven't gotten maternity clothes yet. If you can stand now you can change into it." She spoke down to the blonde sitting in front of her.

Bianca nodded gratefully.

Several moments later she emerged from the bathroom joined with the room. She wore ribbed yoga pants in a light cream color with a matching over sized sweater. She had captured her untidy blonde hair in a claw clip and wore white fuzzy slippers on her feet.

Narcissa strode over to wrap her arm around the unsteady woman and helped her down the hall as Draco trailed behind them carrying his mother's knitting bag and his work case.

Soon enough the three wizards had arrived at Bianca and Draco's spacious home and had Bianca settled in their large bed. As she reclined her ears picked up on Narcissa giving Draco instructions from the living part of the large room.

"If I have to be called from my day to take care of your unconscious wife you one more time, it will be you who has to take responsibility," she scolds. Draco nods and starts to usher his mother from the room.

"I understand mum, I'm taking off work to take care of her," Narcissa nods in approval and takes her leave.

When Bianca's blonde husband makes sure the heavy mahogany doors are closed carefully he trudges over to the cannopy bed and collapses face first. He groans into the bedding, the thick comforter muffling the sound and Bianca's hand moves to rub his back.

"I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble," She admits quietly. Draco turns his pale face toward her in a gentle manner.

"What are you sorry for? Your health is no trouble for me or my over dramatic mother. I'm the one who should be sorry if I led you to believe that," He frowned, clasping his calloused hand over hers.

He stayed silent for a minute watching as Bianca leaned her head back and closed her eyes. His quiet voice surprised her when she heard him mutter, "I don't want to be an auror anymore."

Bianca lowered her head and looked at her husband with serious eyes.

"What? What do you mean?" She asked. Her eyebrows furrowed and she pushed herself more upright.

"It's not what I thought it would be. There's no excitement. Just paperwork, and coffee breaks." He said sadly.

"Well, if you really want to quit, or change your career..." She trailed off as Draco pushed himself up to lay on her chest.

"Shhh. Think about it later, sleep now." He muttered into her breasts. She smiled and stroked his hair.

As the blonde cuddled against her drifted into a deep sleep Bianca's mind was nowhere near rest. His breathing was deep and in even intervals. Her long thin fingers brushed through his silky hair as she tried to gather her thoughts.

As time went on and the sunset turned to darkness and stars outside the warmth of the manor. Her eyes gazed outside the windows and as it started to lightly rain outside her eyes grew heavy.

Before her eyes closed for the reminder of the day, one last though crossed her mind.

What happens now?

Dear Reader,

Thank you for sticking with me throughout my long break. I apologize for not being consistent, but as my mind went through a reading slump, it also went through writer's block. I am now cured of this ailment, fortunately, thanks to A Cruel Prince, The Wicked King, and The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. I have finished reading all three books in the past four days and have been struck with inspiration. Hopefully I can make up the time lost since July and satisfy all of my dear readers' with my fancy words. Anyways, feel free to yell at me in the comments for my absence. I hope you have a wonderful day and be prepared for *hopefully* more chapter in the near future.

Much Love,
