The decision to hold a concert was due to me being an outlet. With everything that has been going on, I needed to go on stage to release everything that I was feeling because I saw how much it was affecting my children. I wasn't being a good mother and that hurt because my children deserved better than what I was giving.

There was a feeling of empowerment as I stood on that stage. Considering that the concert was very last minute, I was surprised to find that I could keep up with the choreography.

"Lord." I let out a loud yawn as I make my way into my children's bedroom. Since I went to work, I left the children with their father because they needed to make up for lost time.

As I walk into the room, I am very surprised to find Jason sleeping on the rocking chair with the baby monitor in hand. I know from experience that sleeping on the rocking chair is very uncomfortable so I quietly walk over to him, not wanting to wake the kids up.

"Jason." I lightly nudge his shoulder and his eyes fly open.

He practically jumps out of his seat, checking to see if the kids are ok and I quietly reassure him that they are.

"Come to the bed, it'll be more comfortable there." I tell him as I take the baby monitor out of his hands. "Go ahead and I'll be there in a few minutes."

I watch as he stretches his arms before slowly making his way out of the room, after checking on the kids. Once he is gone, I go up to each twin to make sure their nappies aren't full.

By the time that I make into the bedroom, Jason is fast asleep so I head into the bathroom to shower and prepare for bed.

"How was the show?" Jason quietly asks as I slide into bed besides him.

"It was good." I lightly caress his face. "How was your evening with the kids? Did they get to asleep alright?"

"It was beautiful." He mumbles as he kisses the palm of my hand. "Can I hold you?"

His question surprises me but I throw myself into his arms as the tears begin to pour from my eyes.

As I lay in the arms of my husband, I question how we got to this stage. We built the foundation for a healthy relationship but somehow along the way, we lost our way. Surely we are stronger than what we portrayed, so why did it end this way.

The idea of Jason wanting another woman is something that I never could have pictured or foreseen. From the day that I met him, I knew that he was the one for me and I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with him.
