I have spent the past couple of days, crying and praying like never before because Jason was hospitalised the night of my concert. When the ambulance showed up at our house, they declared both Kai and Jason to be fine which we were all happy about.
Jason was told that it would be likely that he would have a black eye for a week or two, nothing too crazy but he appeared to come down with something during my show. He kept insisting that he was fine but when we were driving home, he passed out behind the wheel which was really scary but we were near our house so I was able to take control of the vehicle.
Trying to move Jason from the drivers seat proved to be difficult since he is a pretty large guy so I had to call the ambulance while trying to get him up. I text my mom to stay at mine overnight with the kids while I rode to the hospital with Jason and it was really scary because he was not responding.
Nobody could tell if he had contracted some type of infection from his eye injury or if whether he was concussed. My whole life fell apart when Jason fell into a coma because everything just started happening at once and it seemed as if things were getting worse.
That was the point when I had to make the devastating call to our families and close friends because the outcome wasn't certain. The doctors didn't know if Jason would make it or not but they did determine that there was a cut either in or near his eye which likely caused an infection since it wasn't treated.
"Daddy wake up." Kiana pouts while hugging her sleeping father's body. Some people are opposed to having their children in the hospital but we didn't know what would happen next so I wanted the children here for their father. Maybe if he felt their presence, he would fight to stay alive.
It took five long days for Jason to wake up and I have never felt so much appreciation before because I don't know what I would have done if I lost him. Jason got to wake up to his family surrounding him and seeing him cry just did something to me because he rarely does that.
He is an emotional guy but he doesn't cry often.
"Mmm." Jason moans a little while adjusting in the bed and I pick Kiana up which results in her throwing a tantrum. "It's fine, just leave her."
"If you insist." I sigh deeply while setting our daughter back on him before turning to look over at Kai who is sleeping on the sofa. "How are you feeling?"
"Rough." He croaks out and I make my way over to the other side of the room to fetch him some water which I help him drink. "Thanks."
"You really scared me." I blink back tears as I give his forehead a long kiss. "Never do that to me again."
"I promise." His cracks his eyes open to look into my tear filled ones. "I'm sorry."
"Don't apologise." I shake my head before pecking his lips. "It's not fault, just get some rest."
"I want kiss." Kiana gives me a look before pressing her lips against her fathers. "Mwah."
"Thanks sweetheart." Jason chuckles before moving his face to the side as she goes in for another kiss. "I'm fine Kiana."
"More." She buries her face in his neck and I watch with sad eyes as he winces in pain. Kiana seems to realise and tears spring to her eyes as she looks at her father's tense face. "I sorry."
"It's ok." Jason forces a smile as he looks at her. "Daddy is fine."

"Things are looking up." I tell Jelena as we make our way into the hospital room where Jason is currently resting. My mom took the kids home and I have another hour before I have to leave because visiting hours are a bitch.
