Alex pov

It was the next morning waking up in her arms surrounded by her passion fruit scent was bliss. The sky was heavy with clouds as the rain beat down on the windows mercilessly.

Standing I stretch my legs listening as the joints crack satisfyingly And smiling genuinely for the first time in a long time as I look down at my new found angel. Walking from the room I look about the busy halls and merge with the chaos.

It couldn't have been more than twenty minutes until I return daisies in hand and smile on my face. That all changed with one little sound. That dreaded sound of the deafening machine sounding out its final note of grief.

Flatline. Dropping the flowers to the ground I run my heart heavy in my chest as I go barging into the room with pain evident on my face like a mad man.

But what I saw not only shocked me but infuriated me, sitting around the empty unmade bed where the faces of the three evil witches as the laughed and cackled eating their meals with no care in the world.

It was Izzy that noticed me. Panting and red faced staring at them with fire in my eyes. "Oh hey Alex" she said warmly.

"What the fuck is going on here" I bark causing them to fall silent.

"Lunch" Christina shrugs popping a grape in her mouth.

"Where's queen"

"Who knows" Izzy smirked wickedly, "who cares" Christina joined her, "hopefully dead" Meredith mumbled sending the three into fits of giggles.

Grabbing a vase from the counter beside me I smash it sending shades of glass flying around the room impeding them in the wall as the girls shielded themselves from the shrapnel. Silence fell once more as each ones face paled.

"I'll only ask this one more time" my breathing came out heavy "where. Is. She" I said through gritted teeth.

"We unhooked her" Izzy said putting her head down not ashamed of what she'd done but ashamed she'd been caught.

"She couldn't have gotten far in three minutes" Meredith said in a similar manner followed by Christina "she went towards the back exit".

And without another word I was running down the hall once more falling through the door as I went. Turning frantically the rain poured down on my my mind restless until my eyes landed on her and finally a moment of peace and clarity came to me, quickly followed by panic and concern.

"Dam it queen your going to catch your death out here" I yell ripping of my coat and shielding her from the harsh weather. She looked up at me with big brown eyes almost asking silently why I would care and I don't blame her.

"I'm fine" she mumbles the words seem rehearsed.

"I know" I reply. "You need to stop doing this" I say so quietly I almost don't hear myself.

"Doing what" she said.

"Giving me a heart attack" I look at her, her eyes look as if judging my soul.

"Why do you even care" she looks away.

"Beats the crap outta me but I do" I sigh.

"Up until yesterday I was just a face you passed in the hallway" she said slowly and the thought brought me pain, that I would just walk by this beauty without a second thought without looking at her and trying to memorise every detail so that when I dream she will be there and when she's in my hold I know her scent. "What changed?"

"Honestly?" she nodded "when I say you lying there....it was like my whole world collapsed, like I opened my eyes for the first time and everything was on fire, like I finally learnt to breath and then my oxygen was ripped from me" my words came out angrier and angrier as I continued.

"Do you even know my name" she said quietly after some time. And that's when I realised I didn't, I didn't know the most basic thing about her yet the thought of her in pain killed me, being apart from her made me want to rip my hair out and hearing people talk bad about her had me ready to murder people.

"No" I admitted. "But I'd like to get to know you" I said truthfully and I think she saw that because next thing I know she extends her small hand to me.

"Maddison." She says simply as I take her hand shaking it firmly with a goofy yet sad  smile plastered on her perfect lips.

"Alex".
