Chapter 3

Update!!!! If it wasn’t obvious, the last chapter was in Ashton’s point of view, but, you know. I am going to do Luke’s point of view now, and for some reason, I am a bit scared >.< I don’t even know why I feel more comfortable writing in Ashton’s point of view. But wish me luck and thanks for reading. X

Luke’s pov

When I stuck up for Ashton in math, I was just as shocked as everyone else. Ashton has been so good to me, and I feel like I have a duty to look out for him. He just looks so delicate and adorable, his large dimples and his hazel eyes, and his beautiful, soft hair, and like Michael says “his award winning smile” Although it was clear that he thought he had to look out for me, when he punched Aaron, I felt guilty, but relieved. I don’t even know what I am doing wrong. I am always getting dirty looks from the guys; the whole reason why I keep quiet is to stay out of trouble, to prevent myself from being judged, its currently not working out.

I hate my awkwardness, when Ashton told me that he’ll see me after school, I had to open my big mouth and be stupid. I walked home mentally face palming at my stupidity and unlocked the door with the spare key for my house. I sighed as I walked in. “Luke! Your home! Third day of school went well?” I gave her a small smile “Minus the fact I got slammed to a locker for apparently flirting with a guy’s girlfriend” my mother gasped. She is so over protective “shall I talk to the head? How dare he, what’s his name? Are you hurt?” my asked, with worry in her voice. I chuckled and kissed her cheek, I really love my mum, she always spoils me, being the baby of the family. “Well, I am happy to say that you may have not made any friends since we moved to Sydney, but I have!” my mum said obviously proud of herself, well she should be because she is doing better than me. I smiled at her “congratulations mum!” I said. She was really happy; in that case, I was too. “They are coming today, they have a son your age so be nice and try not to be too awkward!” she was so chirpy, I was more like my dad. He was quiet and sensible; however the awkwardness is just a curse upon me. “What time is dad coming home?” I asked my mum, I had a good relationship with both of my parents, but I feel like my dad understands me more, “7:00, now don’t disturb me, I have a lot to do before our guest arrive” I nodded and went upstairs to my room.

I tidied up my room a bit, because I knew that mum was going to make take this person upstairs to my room, despite my lack of communication skills. I placed my penguin teddy on my desk and sat on my bed, on my phone. I sighed as I went past a picture of my ex-girlfriend, Mariya. She was really beautiful and chirpy, I was really sad to leave her behind. She was the only one I felt properly comfortable talking to, and I really missed her. Although we had to break up, because we knew a long distance relationship wouldn’t work out, we promised to stay friends, best friends, so I gave her a ring. “Hi, this is Mariya, I can’t talk at the moment, please leave a message after the tone.” I pouted. “Hiya Mariya, its Luke. Erm, I am kinda missing you at the moment, so please give me a call, bye.” I played around with my lip ring, I used to have flat hair and look like a geek, but mum said it will boost my confidence if I get a new look, she was a bit uneasy about the lip ring, but she eventually gave in. so since that day, I have changed my style and my hair.

I heard the doorbell ring and sighed. “Luke, come down please!” mum yelled from downstairs, I dragged my feet downstairs and waited as my mum opened the door. “Ashton, meet Mrs Irwin and her son Ashton.” I gave a small smile and awkwardly nodded at Mrs Irwin, but widened my eyes as I came to the realization that Ashton and his mother was standing in front of me. Ashton was grinning at me and his mum was looking at me like I was crazy. “Luke?” my mum asked, nudging me. “oh, erm, Mrs Irwin, Ashton” I said nodding at the two. “Aww, your soo cute and shy, you should teach out Ashton some manners, wait, your Luke? Ashton was telling me how cute and attractive you are, but he didn’t tell me you were capable of winning Australians got talent for your amazing looks” Ashton groaned and turned red. I chuckled and also turned red, due to the overload of compliments. “Mum!” Aston groaned. Mrs Irwin just laughed. “Ashton, why don’t you follow Luke to his room?” Ashton smiled and nodded and I guided him upstairs.

Ashton’s pov

“Soo…  you think I am attractive?” Luke asked, filling in the awkward silence, then again everything is awkward when you are with Luke, but a cute kind of awkward.  “Yeah, you are attractive, everyone in school knows that.” I said with a laugh. Luke just looked down at his fingers. “What’s wrong?” I asked with concern, it was normal for him to be shy, but he looked, sad. “I don’t think I am attractive, in fact I think I am quite ugly” he said shyly. People sometimes say these kind of things because they want attention, or because they want to be complimented on their appearance, I looked at Luke in disbelief and scoffed. Luke frowned at this action. “You are kidding me right?” Luke gave me a confused look. “you are  the best looking person, anyone has ever laid eyes upon, I know that, the school knows that and I am pretty sure that you know that, so quit playing games  and acting stupid, this is not how you get attention!” I yelled at Luke. I didn’t mean to yell at Luke, I know he wasn’t doing this for attention. I just broke my heart that he was so beautiful and he didn’t know, but I don’t know why the sadness turned into anger. Luke gave me a glare, it was a look I never thought I would see on his face. It was anger. He shook his head and said “I am using the bathroom.” And walked out the door, slamming it. I don’t think Luke is used to being shouted at, he seems spoilt, but down to earth, and I couldn’t believe I had a go at him. Just then, his phone rang, I didn’t want to be nosy, but I think it would be best to check who it was “Mariya.X <3” wow, so he has a girlfriend. I don’t know why, but a pang of jealousy his my chest. He had a girlfriend. I knew that I fancied Luke, but now I know that he doesn’t fancy me back, I was going to get a girlfriend. I mean, there is no harm in that, even if my feelings aren’t true.

So yay! Ashton admitted his feelings to himself and they had their first argument!!! Luke hasn’t admitted his feelings yet, so we will see how he reacts when Ashton gets a girlfriend. Peace!
