I helplessly watch as Valentina and Alec leave the room to talk privately, I'm not sure what's going on but I now know I don't want the polyamorous relationship. Now that I've been with her, I want to be the only one to make her happy.
Her family hasn't confronted me about our relationship yet but I know it's coming soon, we've just been too preoccupied with finding her and Viktor.
I don't care if they don't approve but I have a feeling they're slowly warming up to the idea of us being together, especially her brothers.
As Felix drones on about something I'm not listening to, I see Valentina walk back into the room happy, I raise a brow at her and she smiles at me and winks.
"Valentina, we'd like you to be the one to go down there for us, in the name of our family," Alejandro announces.
"Same with us Bambina, we want you to go down there for us as well," Luciano adds.
"Are you sure?" She asks, looking between them, and they both nod.
"I'd like to come with you," Xavier says, standing up from his spot.
I'm not sure what to think of him yet, I know Val had to seduce him but I don't know how far that went but what I do know is I trust her. He seems like a flirty guy though, it's always the guys you have to look out for.
When he made the boyfriend comment, it threw me off guard. First, at least he recognized me as her boyfriend, even if we haven't labeled ourselves or talked about it. Second, him making that comment could have meant he was interested in her.
I have a sinking feeling that he won't be going away anytime soon, I know Luciano wants to ally with his family in the future.
"Okay, he did try to kill you after all —" She shrugs, "Mez, would you come down with me?"
Without hesitating I nod and stand up and walk up to her and kiss her real quick, catching her by surprise.
"Lead the way," Xavier comments from behind us.
We walk to the basement and enter, we find Gabriel in the first cell tied up, he's conscious but it looks like no one has harmed him. Valentina walks into his cell and smiles sweetly at him, grabbing a dagger that was on the table.
She hands me the dagger, "you can have the honors, he said some horrible things to me whilst he beat me black and blue because I fought every time he tried to rape me, luckily his father stopped him before he could do it while I was unconscious."
My stomach drops hearing her say that this sick bastard tried to take advantage of her. I'm glad my girl fought back, I'm proud of her for being brave. I'm going to make this fucker pay for even thinking he can be with her in the first place, he doesn't deserve to breathe right now.
'It would be my honor.' I sign, taking the dagger from her grip.
I walk up to Gabriel who has the cheek to smirk at me, "she was good in bed, you know all about it —" He laughs, "she use to be screaming my name before she met you."
