Chapter 7- I love you

I love you

Langa's POV

It's late at night and we're going an a date but we have school tomorrow...I don't get this guy but I don't mind. As I get ready I can't help but feel guilty. I can't get myself to forget the look on my mom's face, and here I am getting dressed to do the very thing that upsets her, but I also can't leave Reki, I only met him a while ago but he already means the world to me, I don't think I could ever live without him, but I can't live without my mom either, I don't know what to do, there's nothing I could do without hurting one of them, and myself, but to be honest I don't really care about that. I just don't want to hurt the two most important people in my life...

"...ga. LANGA!" I snapped back to reality and Reki was shaking me. Oh, I didn't even see him come in.

"What were you thinking about? You couldn't even hear me..." he didn't bother hiding the concern in his beautiful eyes and the guilt strikes me again.

"Oh, it's nothing, let's just head out, are you ready?" I turned away from him so that he couldn't see the guilt that I'm unable to hide.

"Yeah, let's go"

We skated to...a beach? At night? This is gonna be fun, although we won't swim.

"Come on, over there" Reki pointed to an umbrella near the shore with a thick blanket underneath that had a basket filled with what I assume is food. We sat down on the blanket and Reki leaned on my shoulder. Cute.

"This is amazing Reki, when did you even set all this up?"

"Joe and Cherry dropped off this stuff here and set it up on their way to a love hotel after they left your house" he explained.

"...what's a love hotel?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, Reki tensed up and started blushing.

"Uh...um...i-it's this place that uhmm...two people go to to uh...have fun" why is he stammering so much?

"So it's basically a hang out place? Why don't we go there some time?" I asked, it should be pretty fun since Joe and Cherry went there.

"NO! It's not that type of fun- they- j-just come walk with me" there are types of fun...? And why did he change the subject-

He helped me up and dragged me to the shore where we started walking. The sand was cold underneath my bare feet and I wonder if the water was cold too. I walked closer to the water and kicked it, spraying water all over Reki. He gasped and turns out I was correct, it was cold.

"LANGA!! IT'S REALLY COLD STOP LAUGHING IT'S NOT FUNNY"

"No no it's REALLYYY funny" my laugh was cut short when Reki lunged at me, pushing me into the water, but I dragged him in with me. We both emerged from the water, now fully drenched, including our clothes.

"AAAHHH! SOMETHING TOUCHED MY LEG!" I stumbled and almost lost my balance when he jumped at me, holding on to me for dear life with his arms around my neck and his legs around my torso.

"Calm down, that was my leg, scaredy-cat" I laughed at him and wrapped my arms around him to carry him out of the water. We went back to the blanket and ate for a while, we left out shirts to dry on the umbrella and we laid down on the blanket. Reki's head was on my chest and I played with his hair as we looked at the stars. This was really, I forgot about all my problems for a while but now they're back again, the guilt settled in and I tensed up.
