A Distraction

Reki's POV
I opened the door and all the guys came in although I was kind of surprised to see Shadow here, turns out, he's a real softy when you get to know him and admires Langa for being able to beat him instead of being angry with him.

"Heyyy, my favorite cat-boy!" I ruffled Miya's hair and he rolled his eyes as he entered. He loves me.

Joe and Cherry follow in although they stood for a hot minute arguing about who enters first.

"Alright, you guys set up the living room while I go wake Langa up"

"Sir, yes sir!" Miya said sarcastically and this time I'm the one who rolled my eyes. Kids these days...

I went into Langa's room and looked over at him sleeping, snoring softly, he's too adorable and looks so peaceful I wish I didn't have to wake him up. I sat on the bed next to him and gave him a kiss on his forehead, he stirred a little.

"Langa, Langa, get up, I have a surprise for you" I said softly, shaking him lightly. His eyelids lifted slowly, revealing those ocean eyes that I adore. He sat up and stretched, yawning in the process and rubbing his eyes.

"What are you smiling at?" He chuckled. Oh- I didn't realize I was smiling.

"Nothing...you're just cute that's all" he smiled at this and pulled me onto his lap, hugging me with my back to his chest, his head resting on my shoulder.

"What's my surprise?" He mumbled.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it?" I laughed, intertwining our hands.

"Pleaseeeee tell me, I'm curious, do I need to persuade you?" I could hear the smirk in his voice right before he started kissing my neck softly and I let out a sigh, closing my eyes and leaning back into him. Oh he's persuasive alright...NO! Snap out of it Reki. You're falling right into his trap, get your shit together!

I turned my head to face him, making him stop and I almost melted when I saw him pout at the loss of contact.

"If you wanna find out so bad, then you better get ready and meet us in the living room" I smiled, getting up.

"Us...?" SHIT. I gave it away.

"Uhhh I said ME not US, you're just still sleepy go wash your face" I tried looking anywhere but his yes:

"You're adorable when you lie...or attempt to anyway" he giggled and I squinted my eyes at him, giving him a little playful shove.

"Go on then, go, go, go!" I pushed him into the bathroom and made my way back outside but the lights were off...

"SURPRISE!!" Everyone jumped, spraying me with confetti. They all made an O face when they realized it wasn't Langa, I'm so done with this bullshit.

"You. Dumbasses. I SAID WAIT FOR ME! Great now you wasted all the confetti" I scorned them.

"It's okay Reki, it was fun witnessing it go wrong" I turned to face a laughing Langa behind me and I groaned m, covering my face with my hands in shame. It's ruined. Nothing worked out as planned.

"Calm down, it's the thought that counts anyway, so thanks guys" he removed my hands from my face and smiled at me thankfully.

"Well the day's not over yet! We have lots of plans today, starting off with some movies" and just like that my optimism was back, and all it took was one smile from him.

"Can we watch a horror movie" Dammit, I was hoping no one would suggest that. Curse you Shadow. Langa saw the horror etcher onto my face and smiled mischievously.

"Horror movie it is!" Bastard. He knows I'm a scaredy cat, I told him that on our first date. The majority voted yes on the horror movie so there wasn't anything I could do about it.

We all sat on the couch, Cherry and Joe were cuddling, same with Langa and I, Miya and Shadow were awkwardly sitting in between us two couples, munching on snacks. Langa put on the conjuring.

It's okay Reki, it's okay, it's just fiction- *based on a true story* OH HELL NOOOOOOO. I jumped out of my seat to run but I got yeeted backwards onto the couch thanks to my evil boyfriend. I groaned in defeat and hid my face in Langa's chest, safe from the ghosts and demons. He lifted my head from his chest so that I'm facing him.

"You're really cute, you know that?" He laughed softly. It was so nice to hear his laugh again, I could tell that the incident hasn't crossed his mind so the distraction was a complete success.

"You say that a lot" I murmured, placing my head back onto his chest to hide my blush. The things this boy makes me feel-

"Well that's because it's true" He kissed the top of my head and I'm not even sure I'm breathing at this point.

"Oi, lovebirds, shut up and watch the movie" Miya said, throwing popcorn at us. Way to ruin the moment Miya.

"What about those lovebirds?" Langa retorted, pointing at Joe and Cherry sleeping and all cuddled up.

"Ya those are long gone, I won't even bother" Shadow took out his phone and took a picture of them and we all laughed at that.

The day passed by fast, we spent it watching movies, playing board games, skating and eating. Watching horror movies with Langa is 10x easier to endure because whenever there would be a jump scare he would just hug me tightly and just like that all the fear went away. It was nighttime and everyone went back home. Langa and I were now cleaning up all the mess.

"Reki?"

"Yes, Langa?"

"Thank you, I know why you did all this and it really means a lot" he smiled at me. I love his smile so much.

"Don't thank me yet, I still have one more thing planned"

"And what's that?" he raised one eyebrow curiously.

"A second date"

HEY BITCHES AND BROS AND NON-BINARY HOES this just a small cute chapter to heal the pain of the last chapter hehe. Fluff make the pain go away, anyways next chapter is gonna be super cute...nothing else...no heart break no nothing...not at all🌝🌚
