"Well, Bougie Loafers aside, I do think that Carter may be a problem for the football team this season." Billy confessed.

"Hey, as long as the chargers have you and Spencer, hey, ain't no stopping y'all." Grace encouraged, raising her glass.

"You can say that again. All right. I like that attitude.." Billy said, smiling.

"Spence, you good?" He asked upon noticing Spencer's straight face.

"Hey, I got to tell you something. My arm ain't 100%. It went numb the day after the jamboree. And it didn't happen again all summer, which is why I ain't say nothing."

"So you're telling me now. Why?"

"It happened again.. Just for a moment after my fight with Jordan."

Billy exhaled, processing the information.

"I'm sorry. But what if I do have permanent nerve damage, coach?
What if the doctor was wrong? What if I can't play?"

"Okay, okay, don't worry about it, son. Um, I'm gonna call in a few favors. I'll get you one of the best doctors in the league. He'll check you out. Try not to worry, all right? We got this." Billy assured.

Once dinner was over, the siblings dispersed, disappeared into their rooms. Haiden sat on Liv's bed, wanting to see why the girl was quiet.

Liv glanced to her sister then back to her phone, thinking about Asher.

"What's up? You've been quiet, and that face means you know something."

Liv sighed, turning to Haiden.

"I went to see Asher in Mexico while we were in Vegas."

"Okay.."

"And... when I got there, he was on the beach with another girl. They looked happy, I mean, it was like I didn't exist."

"What about your night with Spencer?"

"That's it! It was one night and a kiss. Who knows how long she and Asher have been together."

"Did he say they were together?"

"No. He doesn't even know that I came. I wanted to leave it in the past, you know? But now, Vanessa goes here and has her eyes set on Asher. Right in front of my face."

"Say something then."

Liv shook her head.

"If I confront him, I'll have to tell him about Spencer and I. And that, that part isn't important."

"It's lying either way, Olivia."

Liv groaned, rolling her eyes.

"Me and Spencer aren't together, though. I mean, he kissed me then slept with Layla right after. He and I are nothing but friends. Vanessa and Asher are clearly, if not already, falling in love with each other."

Haiden stared at her sister. As much as Liv tried to deny it, she and Spencer's chemistry was overpowering.

"Wait, does Layla know what happened?"

"Yeah. Hence why she and I aren't on good terms." Liv replied.

"So, what are you gonna do?"

Liv thought for a second before responding.

"I'll let him come to me."

Haiden chuckled, shaking her head.

"You're weird, dude."

The next day came, Liv slightly panicked, remembering she was due to hang out with Asher. Haiden, on the other hand, called Cameron, asking him on a date.

"Do I wanna go to movies? Of course I do. When?"

"In the next thirty minutes."

"Alright, bet. I'll be ready."

She ended the call, going downstairs to the kitchen. As she fixed her a bowl of cereal, she laid eyes on Liv and Asher making their way to the couch.

She and Liv shared at look, unnoticed by the receiver. While Haiden finished, she listened to Olivia ramble about things they could do.

After the putting the milk back, she grabbed a spoon, making her way back upstairs. Her movement halted as she got to the stairs, seeing Jordan jogging down.

"You look cute."

Jordan smiled, shaking his head.

"Stop."

"You do. My little brother is growing up." Haiden said, smiling then kissing his cheek.

"Dude, stop." He said, wiping his face.

"You're my brother. Shut up."

"Yeah, I love you too, sis."

"Jordan, why are you so dressed up?" Liv asked, stopping her brother before he leave.

"I have a date with Simone."

"Can we come? We could make it, like, a double date thing."

"I thought you really wanted to see this movie." Asher said, oddly staring at her.

"I mean, we already know how it ends. Come on. It'll be fun."

Jordan looked between the two, shrugging.

"Uh, yeah. Whatever. Let's go."

"Haiden, you coming? You could invite Cameron. If that's okay." Liv suggested, looking to Jordan.

"I'm good. Have fun, though."

After they left, Haiden ate her cereal then started getting ready. She threw on some comfortable clothes, grabbing her keys and leaving.
