PRESENT TIME

The kitchen has white and cream cabinets with two double doors. These cabinets are filled with dishes, cups and bowls on one side and spices on another.

My cooking skills were great but I wanted to seek something new, so when I located a shelf full of recipe books my happiness just flew over to seventh heaven.

I searched through almost every book but nothing was there that could go with my plan, then I saw a book called 'The Curry Guy'. It was an interesting book. There were many bicultural recipes, but suddenly one recipe caught my eye. It was red wine chicken curry, a British Indian recipe, perfect for my plan.

So I kept the chicken for marinating and I made chicken masala with it, now my chicken was about to be ready, so I had to add 250 ml red wine but instead I turned the whole bottle over and added yogurt to neutralize the taste

So I kept the chicken for marinating and I made chicken masala with it, now my chicken was about to be ready, so I had to add 250 ml red wine but instead I turned the whole bottle over and added yogurt to neutralize the taste.

In the next hour my red wine chicken was totally ready. I was thinking how I could make out without getting caught by 100 bodyguards standing right outside the house.

Suddenly, the same deep voice startled me and said "it smells nice, I hope the taste goes the same way." The book I have been holding fell down from my startled movements.

After picking the book I cleared my throat and said "I'm sure you are going to love it, it's a British Indian recipe." I said while grinning.

He nodded and said " Go and sit at the table and I will serve the food." Hearing this, my face got pale. I nodded in silence. God what will happen if he suspects something am I going to live for another day. "What are you looking at, wasn't I audible to you" he asked in an authoritative voice.

I stuttered and said "um the sala-ad is not ready, i just um I mean I should cut it" I mentally slapped myself for the kinky behaviour I just put up.

We are sitting face to face at the table and the food on both the plates is exactly equal except he is holding a beer can. I grin inwardly, probably my luck is on top today!! I was going to take a bite when he said he wanted to switch our plate. I was not comfortable but I didn't have another choice so I did exactly what he told me to do.

I squeezed a lemon on my chicken so that I could reduce the effect of alcohol and added salad to my plate, seeing this he raised an eyebrow in a questioning look. I just shrugged "like it when the chicken is a little sour".

We ate in silence after sometime his plate became empty and he took more chicken while I hadn't eaten half of mine.

So far it has been an hour since we had food and now the effect of alcohol is visible. Kavir could not even stand properly, so I took advantage of this and sat in the seat by his side. I called him softly "KV...." he didn't listen.

I tried again, this time I shook him with my hands "KV". This time he looked at me, his face was blank. I tried to ask him politely "KV why did you kidnap me?". He didn't answer me, he was busy staring at me, I thought maybe he had not listened, then I started to tell him again but this time he beat me and said in a soft whisper " To save you".
