Raghav Bagchi, Gayatri Bagchi's husband. Destiny tied them in a knot or can say their parents.
Never did he ever thought of marrying her, that to even after meeting her in Digha.
But as destiny would have it, this has to happen.Two years ago, Raghav had made some promises with his pleading mother and his father-who stood apart, away from his frame, resentment and angst stretched over his father's face- and whatever was happening with him at present, was all the result of those eventualities.
He had assured Subhadra, his mother, if he would return back to his home, without Tori, they were free to tie him with any of the alliance, they wished.
But, the crux of the matter was, what he had never imagined. Meeting with Gayatri.
The day when, Gayatri had left him behind, he felt defeated, because of the happening which took place before.Gaytri travelled all the way to Digha to search for her best friend and his..wife. While being unaware of each other's actual identity.
At a point, he was on the horns of dilemma.The sudden gust of revelations had made him entirely so.
On that particular day he wondered, if he should be amazed by meeting Gayatri or astound for founding Tori dead. There was some convolution, which was bugging him and something he really wanted to talk about with Gayatri.Two years later after their meeting in Digha, there marriage was certainly a happenstance or an invisible play of fate, which was arranged by their families. Since, at the end, he had to oblige with his parent's words. Nothing more, nothing less after that.
Moreover, he had felt detached from the notion of marriage but his family didn't want to see him a bachelor all his life either. Pertaining to their insecurities, the social stigma and... the little care they would have stored for their son.But,
He was waiting with a hidden perseverance. A nudging belief of getting what all his heart want, had rooted him into this world till now.He believed that Tori was just a fault in his life. He felt as if she was used in the name of marraige and was finally dumped somewhere. Alas! The girl achieved a ruthless punishment, faultlessly.
The first alliance had gifted him Taarika and the second one, Gayatri. Raghav and Gayatri's shock knew no bounds, when they found themselves face-to-face during the matchmaking. In all this while, they spoke nothing but to assimilate the feeling which had took over them. Before they could realize or say anything, their marraige was fixed.
The past events came haunting down their psyche.When the matchmaking was done, rings were exchanged, hands were decorated with henna, nuptial chain was tied and nuptial vows were taken, it was time for them to take some real promises, which were supposed to be taken life-long as far as they needed. The promise of being a hostile husband-wife and their marraige will only work on the word, respect. Nothing more, nothing less after that!
