Y/N and Bellamy Blake have been together for a while... but in the middle of so much sadness and war, could she really tell him what she wanted? Were the dreams she had for their future his dreams too?
"Mama!" Aurora's tiny hands outstretched towards you with excitement.
"I thought you could use some extra sleep."
His low, deep voice never ceased to send an electric shock through your entire body.
You had always loved him. From the moment you saw him on the Ark, to when he finally asked you to be "his and only his" after the incident at Mount Weather... but watching Bellamy Blake become the father to your child only deepened your affection.
It was like he had spent his whole life preparing for this role - raising Octavia, watching over the 100 when we were first sent to the ground - and he made it look effortless.
Your heart swelled with joy and your eyes filled with tears. After so much suffering and fighting, everything was so peaceful. Life couldn't be any more perfect.
*BANG!*
The screech of the metal gates of Arkadia opening caused you to jolt awake.
"A dream? It was just a dream?"
Hot, stinging tears filled your eyes. You would've started sobbing if it wasn't for the realization that Bellamy's arm was wrapped snuggly around your waist.
You felt his warm breath tickle the nape of your neck. "At least this is real," you thought.
Even though it was just a dream, it felt like your entire life had just been torn away from you.
Not wanting Bellamy to wake and see you upset, you grabbed his hand and gently moved his arm from on top of you. You slid out from under the blankets and grabbed your pants.
Maybe going out on the first food run of the day would help you keep your mind off of the emptiness you felt welling inside you. At the least, it would keep you from breaking down in front of Bellamy.
As you laced up your boots, you heard a slight rustling from the makeshift bed behind you.
"Good morning, Princess." he cooed. "You're up early."
"Morning..." you tried to keep your voice steady as you avoided his deep brown eyes. "Yeah... sorry. I didn't mean to wake you. Just thought I'd go out with the A.M. crew today so I could take the night off."
"You okay? You didn't sleep well?" his husky morning voice quickly shifting to one of concern.
"I always sleep well next to you, Bell." You bent down and pecked a quick kiss on his lips. "I gotta go."
As you headed for the tent's exit, he leaped up from the bed and grabbed your wrist.
"Hey, Y/N. If I did something last night that made you upset, I'm sorry... I love you. You know that, right?" As hard as you tried, it was impossible not to make eye contact with him. His dark eyes bore directly into your soul. You felt your facade fade and the tears rising quickly to the surface.
You quickly turned your head and pulled your wrist from his hand. "I'm fine. I have to go."
You rushed out of the tent, leaving Bellamy standing there speechless - something unusual for him. His lips pursed together as he ran a million scenarios through his head to figure out what he did wrong.
He grabbed his shirt, quickly dressed, and headed off after you. He couldn't let the whole day go by without getting you to tell him what the hell was going on.
