chapter 9

you've been mentally preparing all day, well all morning for your 'date'. the outfit you picked out consisted of:
black high top nikes, black ripped jeans, a denim jacket over a blue and white striped t-shirt and to finish off the look a black beanie.

before you leave you think about leaving your parents a note, but you doubt they'll be back, they rarely ever come home, they don't even call or text anymore, the relationship just falling apart. you choose not to write a note and just leave.

after about 5-10 minutes of walking you arrive at the reserve.

-hey, you at the reserve yet? xx

-yeah just a few mins away babe i'll be there soon xx

you smile and put your phone away but something catches your eye, a group of people walking down the path into the forest. then it clicks.

those people are your "friends"

but they can't see you with her, things could go bad like really bad. they can't know about you and miss.
they didn't notice you but if they see you on any of the trails you're gonna be screwed.

a black Mercedes pulls into the parking lot and you automatically know who it is and so you can't help the wide smile that spreads across your face. she gets out her car and walks over to you and wraps you up in a quick yet affectionate hug.
'heyyy' she grins
'hiii how are you?'
'i'm good thanks, you?'
'yeah i'm good, so... you wanna get some coffee and then go onna walk?'
'sounds good to me, lead the way babe' she follows you to the small cafe and you order your drinks.

you walk down the green trail, the one you suggested that you know doesn't cross the red one your "friends" went down. you get to know each other better, you find out she loves to sing and even thought of becoming a singer not a teacher, and that her fav colors purple, also that she's really clumsy, that she has a dog, that she watches murder mystery's and crime documentaries, that she loves mother mother, arctic monkeys, mitski and the neighbourhood, that she has a bubbly personality and fun interesting hobbies.

'wow imagine, walking into a cupboard door even when you know it's open' you giggle as she lightly punches your arm
'oh fuck you, i was tired and had had a long day at work' she pouts.
'oh so you wanna fuck me' you tease.
she looks around to see if anyone's behind yous,
'i don't know do i ?' she teases back.
'maybe you do, whatcha gonna do about it tho hmm' you smirk but it fades as she slowly approaches you,
'i'll do what you'll let me do babe' she whispers in your ear, giving you goosebumps.
you take a moment to process what she just said, not being able to come back with any smart remark you just leave it.
'well that shut you up didn't it?' she laughed and continued walking, with a bit of delay you catch up with her and you keep following the trail.

later on you see people coming towards you, you recognise who it is and panic a little, they can't see you with her. you notice a path that branches off the main one, going into the forest and suggest going down it.
your date agreeing instantly as if she too recognised the people walking towards yous.

as you continue down the path you hear the voices of the people get closer until they start to fade again. they don't know you're here you think to yourself.
'i think they're gone' you say quietly to the woman standing really close to you.
you had managed to trek fairly far down the path and so were surrounded by thick layers of brambles and trees on both sides of the path.

'you think it's safe to go back into the main path again?' you ask but don't get a response, so you look to the side only to be met with a warm pair of brown eyes watching you. you don't say anything, just exchange a moment of silence just looking into her beautiful eyes.

your eyes drop down to her lips, you subconsciously lick your own, biting your bottom lip after. your eyes look back into hers to see them sparkle with lust and want.
