It was premiere day for The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It.

Vera woke up in her hotel room to the sound of her 8am alarm. She shuts the alarm off, and rubs her eyes. She turns over to check her phone. She sees a text message from Patrick.

7:16am. The message reads, "Happy premiere day!" With a selfie of a very enthused Patrick Wilson.

This brings Vera a soft smile.

She texts back, "Happy premiere day, P-Wiltz! What are you up to at the brink of dawn?"

She rethinks her already sent message. Only because his text was sent just about 40 minutes before she woke.

She waits a few seconds for a response. Nothing.

So she sets her phone back down on the nightstand beside the bed, and gets up. The second she gets up, she hears a ding from her phone.

As expected, it's Patrick.

"Well I decided to check out my hotel's gym"

"Is it meeting your standards?" She quickly responds with a laughing emoji at the end.

"So far, so good" responds Patrick.

Vera decided that it might be a good idea to go to the gym herself. So she changes into her gym clothes, brushes her teeth, and puts her hair in a high ponytail.

She grabs her hotel key, a water, and her earbuds for music. She ties her sneakers, and she's out to the hotel's gym.

When she gets to the gym, she swipes her card. She walks in and hears the sound of treadmills and some weights clanking.

She knew she wanted to start with cardio, so she quickly looks around for the treadmills. But to her surprise, she sees a familiar body.

She starts to walk over to the man, but before she made it even halfway, the man turns around. He knew who it was... he could see in the mirror in front of him.

"Hey, Pal!" Vera exclaims.

"Hey... Bud!" Patrick says back.

"I didn't know you were staying at this hotel too!"

"Well, now you do!" They both chuckle.

---

Patrick continues with his workout, and Vera heads towards the treadmills.

The treadmills are on the wall behind Patrick to the right. If she looks straight ahead at the mirrors, she can see him. The same is for Patrick.

They both resist the urge to just stare at one another through the mirror. But there are a few times when they catch glimpses of each other.

---

Patrick is done with his workout before Vera. And as he leaves, he walks over to Vera's treadmill to say goodbye.

A grin comes upon her face as she watches him leave.

Vera finishes her workout, and heads back to her hotel room for a shower.
