Chapter 7 The first Exam

As me, my teammates and, Kabuto walk into the classroom a group of ninja from the hidden sound were causing a ruckus. I was about to break it up, when a voice from behind me stopped me in my tracks. "Enough" the voice said firmly, we all turned our heads towards the Procter. "You ninja from  the hidden sound, knock it off" he said, the wolf part of me lowered my head slightly and whine under my breath lightly. "Okay, it's time to begin. I am Ibiki Morino your Procter and from this moment your worst enemy, first turn over your paperwork, then you'll receive a number, this number will show you where you will sit, the written test will begin once you're all seated" he said firmly.

I walk up to the table still with my head lowered I received my number, it was Ten, as I tried to step into the classroom, I realized that Kabuto was in front of me, then he looked back at me, "Ladies first" he said stepping aside.

"No, no, I couldn't, I- " I said, blushing slightly, "Ai, I'm not the one that has to walk to the back row" he smiled as he took another step to the right, taking his offer I stepped by him" Thank you" I said softly, "You're welcome" he whispered back to me as I walked by. I sat down at my desk wondering who'd be sitting beside me, a moment latter Gaara started walking up the row to my left, my heart started to skip a beat, then when he walked up to my desk, he sat down and scooted next to me, "Yes, I knew it was going to be a good day when I woke up this morning" I shouted to myself.

"Begin" Ibiki said as we all looked down at our test papers for the first time, "This looks impassable, how am I going to pass, when the questions our this hard?, stay calm you're calm Ai. You've been through worse, you've  been through worse" I told myself. I then looked over to my right towards Gaara and wonder, "Why isn't Gaara freaking out, he's just sitting there focusing on his paper as cool as a cucumber, does Gaara know something  about the test that we all do not, or does it have anything to do with the pain he's felt all of his life, what ever the case I can tell you one thing, Gaara is an eye stunner" I said to myself.

I looked up from my paper for a moment, then I noticed something about Sasuke, he's sitting up straight, eyes focused he's frozen in place, which can only mean one thing, Sasuke is thinking again, but about what and, he can't read my thoughts, so it's not like I can just ask him through my mind link, I'm going to have to figure this one out on my own I said calmly to myself.

Something then hits me like a rock to the head, "They're trying to get us to cheat without getting caught, that's got to be it, okay so the next  question is who's it going to be" I ask myself as i look around the room.

As I was wondering who I was going to cheat off of I slowly turned my head back down towards Gaara and, I could see that he was doing something with the sand, as I w watching the sand go into his palm, it then turned into an eyeball, then, when Gaara closed his fist the eyeball is gone and, a moment later Gaara wrote down another answer, my thoughts were weird, because it was an eyeball in his palm, but it was also cool, because it was sneaky, I mean if I was the Procter, I would never have caught that, "Well done Gaara" I told myself.

As I turned my attention back on finding someone to cheat off of, something came to me, Winston taught me to stay alert, watch what's going on around me and, to stay focused no matter what happens, I may look like a girl on the outside, but inside I'm a wolf. In the end, I decided to look around, then I noticed something odd about the guy sitting in front of me, for one thing, he looked older than any of the other kids and, plus I noticed the whenever he'd come to one of the questions, he'd just write an answer.

It took me a few moments before I realized, that, that guy was a snitch, "he's already a chunin, that's why he knows all the answers" I thought to myself. I then got myself ready, then inside my thoughts "sharingan" I said then I was copying his pen movements, Just like Sasuke was doing on another boy, and in no time at all I had answered all of the questions.

After that I got board, so I decided do draw a little butterfly in the upper right hand corner of my paper, at this moment, Ibiki explains the real goal of the test, which was what me and Sasuke thought it was, when my with my butterfly was done, I looked over towards Gaara, "I wish I can tell him he did a good Job but, I'm to nerves to tell him myself"I thought to myself, then I took out my little sticky note pad and wrote (Good job Gaara!!!) on it I folded it up, turned towards Gaara and, tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

Gaara then towards me and glared at me, I shook the note in front of him before he took it from me, then he unfolded it, then he looked back up at me and nodded his head.

We were then interrupted by the sound of shattering glass, we all looked up from whatever we were doing. There stood Anko, "You're early again" Ibike said under his breath, I couldn't help but giggle under my breath, "By the time I'm done with you, nearly half of you will be eliminated, starting first thing in the morning, things are going to be different, until then, dismissed" Anko said. "If she thought she was being intimidating, she should try bowing down to a 600 pound animal, with sharp teeth, that will rip you to shreds, if you so much as look at him wrong" I thought to myself.

I then stood up and Gaara did the same, then when I turned around to say goodbye to him the same lock of hair fell down into my face again. but I did say goodbye to him, however Gaara just nodded, then we both parted ways, I went to the left and he went to the right. I reunited with my teammates when I had walked down the stairs "Are you ready to tell me your secret when I get Home?" Sasuke asked, looking at me, "Yes I am, when yawl get home" I replied as I looked back up at him, "What do you mean by yawl?" Sasuke asked me once more, "Oh come on Sasuke, it wouldn't be fair if I just told you" I replied as I walked out of the classroom. "Is it a good secret?" Naruto asked, "Trust me Naruto It'll blow your mind" I said as I said playfully as I peeked my head around the doorway, then I walked out the door.

The usual sound of water dripping on a cold metal pipe. It is a sound I have become so used to, I think I would feel an emptyness without it. The room is cold, dark, and damp. I shiver not just from the cold, but from exhaustion and weakness.
