Chapter 11 The elimination exam

Me and Sasuke woke up to the Den door being slid open, Sasuke, Ai time to wake up" Kakashi said, from the other side of the door.

"But Kakashi, you told me, we had a month to train and prepare for the final exam" I whined, as I opened my eyes and turned my head to look at him.

"Change of plans, since they have too many teams. They're going to have an elimination exam, to determine, who stays in the exams and who gets cut. Now come on, I've got breakfast waiting" He said, as he turned to walk back up the hallway.

"What are we having?" Sasuke asked sleepily, as he yawned and stretched out his arms.

"Bacon, eggs and a little bit of leftover pork from last night's dinner" Kakashi replied, as I shifted back, and Sasuke got to his fee

"Did you eat all of that bore last night?" Kakashi asked me turning towards me, as we were sitting down at the table.

"Yes Sir, it was a midnight snack" I replied, a slight chuckle to my tone.

There were chuckles all around the table until Kakashi spoke, "Now for this test Ai, you know what you're going to have to do, right?" he asked.

"Yes I do" I replied, in a mutter.

"Have you been practicing?" Kakashi asked, curiously, as he was still looking at me.

"Yes, when I've had the time!" I snapped, "Sorry" I said, apologetically.

"It's okay all is forgiven" he said.

"Wait, practicing for what?" Sasuke asked stunned.

"It's called M- shifting, or mental shifting. It's basically when a werewolf is sill in human form, but somehow they're in the mind set of their wolf" Kakashi exclaimed.

"Oh so, it's like human on the outside but, wolf on the inside is that about right?" Sasuke asked, looking at us from across the table.

"When will I be able to do that?" Sasuke asked, as he put a piece of egg in his mouth.

"M-shifting can be used as soon as the gene appears, so you can do it now, and speaking of which" I said as I turned to look over towards Kakashi.

"Do you still have a bottle of emergency drops?" I ask.

"In the cabinet to the left above the sink" He replied, I started to stand up, but he stopped me. "I'll get it, you stay here and eat" Kakashi said, as he stood up, and walked over to the sink.

While Kakashi was gone, I grabbed a bite of the egg using my fork and put it into my mouth. Sasuke then looked at me curiously, "What?" I asked through chewing my food.

"How come you don't use chopsticks?" He replied.

"I like using a spoon and a fork" I said, simply put. "You don't know how to use them, do you" Sasuke said matter-of-factly. "It's like trying to eat my dinner with a pair of pencils" I said, with a huge smile on my face.

(Ha ha ha, criminal minds joke)

Kakashi came back and set a small brown bottle on the table. It was a small brown bottle with a little eye dropper top screwed onto it. "Here, it's the last bottle in the house, so don't lose it. I'll fix some more up tonight" kakashi said, as he sat back down.

"Thanks Kakashi" I said, as I picked up the bottle.

"What is it?" Sasuke asked, I handed him the bottle, Sasuke unscrewed the top off, and took a sniff. "Emergency drops, they're made from a special blend of herbs that make us feel calm. all you'll have to do is drop a few drops under your tongue before your fight, alright" I said, as I looked over towards Sasuke.
