All is Found ~ Elsa x Honeymaren

Chapter 6 ∼ Honeymaren POV

"I don't want to just be friends anymore. I never have."

Elsa's words ran through my head over and over. She didn't want to be friends with me? That made no sense, although after that bombshell I accidentally dropped on her I suppose she had every right. But she had said she didn't want to just  be friends anymore. What did that mean?

"What do you mean?" I finally asked.

Our hands were still intertwined and she was rubbing circles on the back of my hand with her thumb, a nervous habit I had noticed her developing.

"Please don't make me say it again." she joked, blushing as usual, "Maren, I don't want to just be friends anymore. Because I like you. Like a lot. I have for a long time. When I first saw you all I could think was that you were the most beautiful person I had ever seen, and the closer I got with you, the harder it's been to control my feelings. But I don't want to control them anymore. I like you, Maren."

Everything was silent for a while before Elsa spoke up again.

"Say something, please, I'm dying." she half joked.

"I guess I don't know what to say. In a good way, I'm just shocked." I responded.

I stepped towards her and threw my arms around her waist, bringing her into a tight hug. She instantly returned the hug, wrapping her arms around my neck and leaning her head into my chest.

"Thankyou." I whispered into her neck.

"For what?" I heard her mumble against my chest.

"For being honest with me. That was really brave."

"It was, wasn't it." she laughed.

I pulled away regretfully, we could only stay here for so long before the others would track us down.

"We should go before Anna and Ryder try and find us." Elsa said, clearly thinking the same as me.

Neither of us made a move to walk away, not eager to end the special moment between us. I stepped forward and rested my forehead against hers.

"Get ready for an interrogation." I mumbled.

We both laughed quietly, still not moving. I would've stood like this for hours had we not heard voices starting to call out for us. Anna and Ryder were getting closer, there was no avoiding it.

Pulling back, I planted a quick kiss on Elsa's forehead and intertwined our hands once more.

"Come on, let's go face the music." I said, as we started walking towards our friends, hand in hand.

"Hey!!!" Anna screeched as we finally emerged from the forest, "There you two are, we were beginning to think you had ran away."

"I wish." I heard Elsa murmur under her breath.

I squeezed her hand reassuringly, laughing at her awkwardness.

Ryder looked down at our intertwined hands and his face lit up like I had just given him a baby reindeer.

"Are you two-" He started before I cut him off.

"Not. A. Word. Ryder. Or you will be sorry." I threatened as we rejoined the others to finish our picnic.

"Whatever you say." He laughed, him and Anna both throwing suggestive looks at us before finally changing the conversation.

Half an hour later and Anna and her friends were standing up and beginning to leave.

Elsa hugged her sister goodbye, and the others all set off towards their home.

I threw a quick glare towards my brother and he got the message and decided to leave too.
