Chapter 7 ~ Elsa POV

We had only just stepped into the forest when we were ambushed by Ryder and his best friend Elijah.

"Jeez, what's taking you two so long? Yelena is going crazy!" Elijah said, running up to the couple.

"Yeah, what exactly have you two been doing?" Ryder asked suggestively, wiggling his eyebrows up and down and winking exaggeratedly.

Maren dropped my hand and ran up to her brother, shoving him playfully.

"Guys seriously, Yelena is going to feed us to the reindeer if we don't get there now." Elijah half joked, genuine worry cutting through his words.

We all set off at a fast pace, running through the forest laughing and bumping into each other. Elijah had grabbed Ryder's hand and was leading him into the camp.

"What's that about?" I whispered to Maren.

She shrugged and raised her eyebrows suggestively, but before we could talk about it properly we had arrived inside the dining tent where Yelena had set the table for 6.

Yelena was sat at the head of the table and Elijah instantly moved to sit at the other end, as far away from her as possible. Clearly he was terrified of the old woman, and with good reason; she could make your life here hell when she was in a bad mood and she hated tardiness.

"Sorry, sorry! We're here!" Maren said, taking a seat next to Elijah, "We had to walk from the stone circle."

Yelena sent a disapproving but somehow still loving look towards Ryder and Honey.

"Well you're here now. Sit." She responded calmly, waiting for everyone to take a seat.

I took the seat next to Yelena with Maren coming to sit on the other side of me next to Elijah.

"Who's the final place for?" I asked, gesturing to the empty place across from me, on Yelena's other side.

Yelena sighed loudly before speaking in an exasperated tone.

"It's for Runar. Ryder insists that we set a place for him." She explained tiredly.

I turned to Maren, still confused.

"Runar? As in..." I started.

"Yep, Runar. Runar as in the baby reindeer." Honey sighed, amused, "He won't eat dinner without Runar."

That was when Ryder reappeared, although I hadn't noticed he was missing to begin with, with little baby Runar in tow.

"There you go little fella." He said, lifting Runar onto the empty chair before sitting in between him and Elijah.

"Thankyouuu, Ryyyderr." He spoke in a weird voice, pretending to speak for Runar.

"You look exactly like Kristoff right now." I joked, to which he agreed before tucking into the food sat in front of him.

"Yelena, if this is a family dinner, why are me and Elsa here?" Elijah asked, gesturing between us.

"I'm sure you'll both be becoming family soon, why wait." Yelena said mysteriously.

Me, Honeymaren, Ryder, and Elijah all looked between ourselves confused but brushed it off. Yelena could be quite odd.

"So, Yelena, what's with the whole occasion? Why are we having a family meal?" Honeymaren asked.

"Well, Ryder told me about yours and Elsa's blossoming relationship and I thought it was important that we got together to discuss and to celebrate." Yelena said, chewing loudly.

I felt my cheeks instantly go bright red and stared down at my plate, embarrassed.

"Ryder! Why do I have to be related to you?" Maren said, throwing a bread roll at him.
