Jasmine's Pov
It has been 17 years since the day i wished to go to space and now i'm 25 yrs old and my wish came true I now work at NASA as an astronaut going up into space was my life long dream and I couldn't be more happy I went home to visit my family for some time because I didn't have any missions to do at work but when I got there and from what I saw I really did wish I had a mission right now because I hate when my parents argue.
"hi mom hi dad is this a bad time" I said with a fake smile
Both my parents stop arguing and saw me standing in the door way they go up to me and hug me tight I sighed in relief when my parents stoped fighting.
"oh honey we missed you so much we didn't expect you coming we would have made dinner" she said as she acted like nothing happened.
"No its fine I just ate anyways" I said
"Doesn't look like it" she said
"Yeah what have they been feeding you" my dad said
"Every normal day food calm down guys I'm fine so how has things been going" I said
"Oh they are just fine nothing interesting happening" she said
"Really cause when I walked in here it seemed interesting and I don't want to interfere with anything but what I saw says other wise" I said almost to the couch
"Sweetie I assure you everything is fine so how is it being an astronaut" she said with excitement on her face
"Its everything I dreamed it would be in space everything is so beautiful up close especially the sun" I said
"Oh sweetie guess who came to visit" my dad said with a smirk on his face
"Who" I asked a little scared
Right on cue the door bell rang my mom opened the door and my eyes widen I saw my ex boyfriend in the door way.
"Oh Brandon we were just talking about you" she said
"Hey Jasmine long time no see ay" he said with a chuckle
"What is he doing here" I said angrily
"Well I thought you wanted to see him before you leave soon you guys haven't talked in while" she said.
"Well I don't so he can leave now" I snapped
"honey what has gotten into you" my dad said trying to touch me but I wouldn't let him
"We broke up for a reason and it was not to take a break so please don't interfere with my love life" I said calmed down
"Well then he will just stay for din-" my mom tried to finished but I cut her off
"NO HE IS NOT SO BRANDON YOU CAN LEAVE NOW" I yelled
"Jasmine" my mom said with a scared look
"No she's right we broke up for a reason so I should leave" he said with a smirk on he's face then walked out the door
I finally calmed down after he left but my parents we furious I gave then the "I don't care" look and told them that things didn't go so well when Brandon and I were dating because he was cheating on me with my bestfriend so I have moved on without him in my life until today.
"So what's for dinner" I said
"But I thought you weren't hungry" my mom giggled
I laughed to but then my phoned buzzed I picked up my phone and saw a message from the captain.

J: what is it
CC: we've found something extradentary and we need you to check it out
J: Sir yes Sir I will be there as soon as possible
I was excited about the news I get to discover something unknown to the human species this is even better than I expected but I didn't know what to tell my parents I mean I can't just leave I just got here maybe I will leave to night and then leave them a note.
