I woke up to my alarm going off. I grumply got out of bed, my attitude slowly improving once I remebered I leave for LA in a few hours.
I was gonna live the tik toker lifestyle, I got to see my friends who lived in LA. I had my heart set on having fun and avoiding drama at all costs. I mean you couldnt have 2 problematic halls right?
The guilt of leaving my mom took over my happy train of thought. She was gonna beall alone here, well Id prefer it better that then her alone with my father.
He is and was a horrible man, he was a raging alcholic and had no self control when it came to anybody. When he was intoxicated it was scary, he would go around smashing bottles and throwing around photo frames.
The worst nights was when he got physical with my mother. He would throw bottles at her and yell loud enough for the neighbours to hear. After all that my mother still forgave him, why Im still not sure of.
One night I had had enough of the screaming and I called the police. They had asked me questions to which i replied to. Before I knew it there were police officers at out front door step ready to take my father away for good.
He's currently bouncing between jail and rehab.
Snapping out of my daze I turn off the water and dry off. Opening my bathroom door I saw my mother sitting on the edge of my bed trying her best not to sob. She gave me a soft smile before leaving.
I looked at my empty bedroom while I got changed.This was the bedroom I cried in, laughed in, I did everything here. Now I had to leave it behind.I was starting a new chapter in my life.

I got into the car with my mom. She was fighting off tears but I could see right through her. Soon we arrived at the airport,it was about an hour drive
We got out of the car and I made my way to the back of the car to get my suitcases. I grabbed my bags and made my way over to my mom who was standing at the enterance.
We stood in silence for a few seconds before she embraced me with a tight hug. Some people would think that she was never gonna see me, when in actuality she would see me in a few days.
I then made my way to my gate and went through.
I was ready for the new chapter of my life.
