Vanitas glanced at the white-haired man and Corinne before he turned his attention to the Vampire in front of him, his smirk plastered on his face. Corinne looked down at Vanitas's hand to see he was Gesturing to the white-haired man, Corinne glanced at the man, her eyes widening at his injury remembering he got but by the girl, Corinne quickly got the message he was trying to tell her as she stood next to the white-haired.

"Good grief. There, you see? I told you You'd get hurt." Vanitas said in a cocky tone. Corinne turned to face the man while she crouched down to the white-haired man's level.

"Are you okay Monsieur?" Corinne asked in a low, quiet tone for him to hear. The white-haired man glanced at her while he held his injury.

"I will be fine, but thank you, Mademoiselle." He said back in the same tone she used.

"Well you have been hit with poison so try not to do anything to overwork yourself," Corinne said softly, giving him a small smile. The White-haired man nodded his head as The two of them watched Vanitas with keen interest.

"Just as I thought. Her symptoms have manifested." Vanitas Announced.

"And?! Did you just figure that out?!" Dante shouted. Corinne glanced over at him dragging a lady away to safety.

"Of course. Unbearable Chills, the black tears that spill from her eyes and chest and the shadow Biars." Vanitas explained in a cocky tone, he raised his hand to point at the girl."Malnomen- Eglantine prison of briars."

"Malnomen?" The white-haired man questioned. Vanitas turned to look over his shoulder to look at Corinne and the man then back at the girl.

"That's what we call the remains of true names warped by the 'Maladies'" Vanitas explained. "True names are vampires' lives and that women's has been wrapped. That's why she'd lost her sense of self and why she can't fight the impulse to drink blood, even though it's generally easily controlled." Vanitas finished.

The vines emerged from the black circle from under the girl. Gunshots from behind them piercing a hole through the vines. Corinne quickly turned around to see who shot the bullets, to see Dante standing there with a tiny pistol.

"Hey, Quack! Quit jawing and finish it." Dante snapped.

"Don't be so impatient, badly!" Vanitas remarked.

"I'm not Bald!" Dante shouted. Corinne mental sighed at the two. She looked down to see a hand reaching towards Vanitas grabbing his coat. The white-haired man gave his coat a little tug. Vanitas turned to look over his shoulder at the man.

"Are you two going to kill her? Are you one of the church's chasseurs? Or are you a bourreau, come to dispose of her?" The white-haired man questioned. Vanitas let out a laugh while he reached under his coat and grabbed the silver chain.

"Non! I am a doctor, one who specializes in vampires. I came to heal her!" Vanitas announced as he pulled out the book of Vanitas. The white-haired man's purple eyes widened in shock as he looked at the book before him. A blue leather cover and jet-black pages, a clockwork grimoire linked to a silver chain.

"That's...it can't be, The book of Vanitas?!." The white-haired man gasped. Corinne turned to look at him. Vanitas opened the book, the words started glowing on the pages while it flipped through the pages.

"Now then...let's get her true name returned. Shall we?" Vanitas announced as the Briars started disappearing. The white-haired man and Corinne stood up while they watched Vanitas. A mass of petals surrounding Vanitas and the girl, Vanitas pulled the girl into a tight embrace.

"Florifel, she who guides spring!" Vanitas started while he wiped the black tears away from her eyes. "I see. So this is your true name, is it? it suits you very well."
