Chapter Six

I was on my way up to Dad's lab when I looked down at my hands, why was I holding three coffees? Why did Pepper give me three? I shrugged and when the door opened I walked up to the glass ones turning my back and pushing open only to hear. "Here! Let me help!" I turned and saw a young man coming and holding the door while I stepped in, I looked at him, and he looked very familiar.

"And who are you?" I asked as I walked to where Dad stood at his hologram screens. "You must be the third- coffee, coffee- Hot-"

"Chocolate- yeah, I don't like coffee." He said as I handed it to him. "I'm Peter Parker, you're- Y/N L/N, right?" He asked.

"Stark, Peter, Y/N Stark," Dad interjected.

"He's not wrong." I sighed. "L/N is my stage name," I said holding my hand to him. "Why do I recognize you, Parker?" I asked and he choked up for a second, Chuckling awkwardly.

"We- We went to school together." He said and Dad's head whipped towards us. "I was in 6th grade, you were an 8th grader." He said and I crossed my arms.

"How do you remember that?" I asked. "You're 22 now? And still, remember that?" I asked.

"Well, it's not like your family hasn't helped me more than once through my life." He said and I hummed. "When I was little I was picked on a lot. And one day a kid in your class, who was one of your friends decided to make it worse than usual, he pushed me and you stuck up for me." He said and I hummed thinking.

"Are you talking about Richard? The one I drop-kicked?" I asked and started laughing nodding.

"Right above me, yeah." He laughed and I smiled.

"That's so cute, so what are you doing here? You an Avenger?" I asked and he nodded.

"I am, been since I was- what?"

"18," Dad said and I hummed.

"Peter... Parker..." I hummed. "Spiderman?" I asked and his eyes widened.

"What- now?" He looked at my dad and he shrugged.

"I'm a SHIELD Agent. I followed along with the Avengers." I said and he hummed nodding. "Making sure my dad wasn't dead," I said.

"Aw, you cared?" Dad asked.

"Unlike you." I smiled at him and his smile dropped.

"I cared. You just didn't see it." He said.

"Like how?" I turned to him, he looked at me.

"I was invited to the first screening of your movie." He said and I pushed my eyebrows together. "I went." He said. "I saw you, you looked gorgeous, but I stayed away, kept you in the spotlight." He said and I stared at him.

"Dad that's not- that's not how you show you care..." I mumbled. "Yes, thank you for coming but, I would have honestly loved walking down the red carpet with you," I mumbled he looked at me.

"You would have?" He asked and I nodded slowly at him.

"Y-Yeah," I muttered, I looked at Peter. "So Peter," I mumbled. "When did you start working with Dad?" I asked and he hummed.
