Zero pov
I clutched Toga's jacket as it was wrapped around my body. It was a cold snowy night. Toga knocked on the door. A man with long dark blonde hair opened the door. I've met him a few times his name is Kaien Cross. One of the top hunters of the academy. Kaien looked at us suprised. Kaien:" Toga what's going on?" Toga sighed. Toga; " Kaien..we need to talk." Kaien invited us inside his house. Kaien:" Yuki! " A girl with long brown hair ran down the steps. Yuki:" Yes sir?" Kaien:" What did I tell you about that sir nonsense. It's father Yuki." Yuki chuckled. Yuki:" Yes father." Kaien:" Can you please help Zero clean up so he can be more comfortable. " Yuki:" Of course sir. I mean father!"

Kaien pov
Toga told me what had happened. To the Kiryu's and the Von' s. I turned around facing the window. Looking at the dark blue sky. Tears fell from my eyes. As word of my little sister's death sunk in. I took a deep breath and kept myself calm. Kaien:" What of my niece? Yn?" Toga: " Zero said she was taken by Shizuka along with Ichiru. There's a chance they might be alive. Kaien who put Shizuka's lover on the termination list? It doesn't make sense that he was on there since he wasn't a level E yet." I took a deep breath. Kaien:" I knew this was gonna bite us in the ass. It was the general of the hunters academy. Shizuka's lover was the general's brother. He willing became a vampire for Shizuka. The general was disgusted said his brother shamed their family. When I saw his name on the list I tried to talk the general out of this. We need to try and find Yn and Ichiru."

Yn pov
I shivered on the cold cement floor. My ankle throbbed from where the chain was. My shoulder had been stitched up. I don't know how long I've been in here. I was so thirsty and hungry. I think...im gonna die in here. Tears welled in my eyes. As I saw flashes of my parents death. The last thing I remember from that night was going to Zero for help. Was he and his family Ok? What of Ichiru? My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my door opening. I shivered as I watched the door in anticipation. There was Shizuka. The women who was responsible for my terror. Ichiru stood next to her. Shizuka picked me up by my neck. The chain dug into my ankle. Shizuka:" My honey you look awful." She dropped me and laughed. Shizuka: " I hope your comfortable. This is the room that you'll die in." Yn:' Please don't do this. I've never done anything to harm you!" Shizuka: " Sweetie your right. You haven't but your a Von and the Vons took my beloved from me. All the Vons will perish from this world by my hand." With that she left me in the darkness.

Ichiru pov
I was sneaking to see Yn. With a plate of food and water in my hand. I'm loyal to Shizuka since she promised to bring my health back. But I can't let Yn die. She means too much to me. Yn was laying on her back. Her breathing sounded wheezy. Ichiru:" Yn." I placed the plate and glass down. I lightly shook her. She let out a painful groan. I placed my arm underneath her shoulders. I lifted her up. She slightly opened her eyes. I placed the cup of water to her mouth and slowly poured it into her mouth. I pulled the glass back when she started choking. Ichiru:" I'm sorry yn!" Yn:" Ich..iru." She said faintly. Ichiru:" I brought you food and water." I had to help Yn eat and drink she was so weak. Yn started sobbing. Yn:" I'm so scared Ichiru." I wrapped my arms around her. She tightly embraced me. I kissed the side of her head. Ichiru: " I'm not gonna let you die. I promise." I caressed her cheek. I wiped her tears away with my thumb. I rubbed my thumb against her lips. Our lips slowly met. Then she nuzzled her head into my neck. Shizuka:" My isn't this precious." My eyes darted to the door. Shizuka stood against the door with her arms crossed. I looked at yn. She had fear in her eyes. I placed my hand on her cheek. I slowly stood up to face Shizuka. Ichiru:" Shizuka you know I'm loyal to you. But I care deeply for Yn. She had nothing to do with your lover's death. Please don't let her die." Shizuka rolled her eyes. She walked up to me. Shizuka:" Fine I will spare her." I was so relieved. Ichiru:" Thank..." Shizuka bolted behind Yn. I turned around she held Yn against her chest. Her hand was against yn's jawline moving her head to the side. To expose her neck. Ichiru:" What are you doing?!" Shizuka:" Don't worry I won't kill her. But she still has to be punished." Ichiru:" No please Shizuka! " My heart dropped as Shizuka sunk her fangs into yn's neck. Tears streamed down yn's cheek. She reached her hand to me. I wrapped my hand around hers. I felt so hopeless in this moment. All I could do for her was comfort her while the pain ran through her body.
