Reaching closer to Jorden's pick up time, I feel myself getting more pissed off at myself. I guess I can't blame myself because it was in a moment of excitement. Lydia should be coming home tomorrow, just in time for our weekend sets. Honestly, that's the only reason that's been getting me through the time since she left.

Maddie has been keeping me busy, doing little promo things here and there and making sure that our EP keeps going smoothly. Once it is six forty-five, she makes me go to my closet and pick out my outfit for my night out. She has always thought that Jorden and I would make a cute couple. Of course, I've denied it all.

"Have you ever tried to french braid your hair?" Maddie asks, as she rummages through her makeup kit. She always loves doing my hair and makeup. And usually, I let her but tonight I couldn't care less if I even wore girl clothes. If it were up to me, I'd be sitting there in a sweatshirt and sweatpants.

"No because I look bald and they always make my head hurt." I cringe. Every time when I was little, my mom's friend would come over and braid my hair for cheerleading and by the end of the night, my scalp was practically giving me the "up yours" sign. Maddie disagrees on how I don't look bad in anything. "You just fed me the biggest bullshit ever." I laugh.

She, of course, won't give up so I propose a compromise. So by default, I let her braid my bangs back into a messy bun. That way she would keep talking shit about how I look.

"Perfect! Go get dressed and I'll get your makeup set up."

Finally, it was time for Jorden to come by and get me. I pick up my bag where I keep my sneak in candy stash and sling it over my shoulders. As soon as I reach the stairwell, the girls are pushing and pulling my arms every direction. Geordie and Lainey are trying to keep me from going and then Maddie is pushing me towards the doors. "She can't stand him up!" She hollers.

Sadly, Maddie wins on the tug-of-war and pushes me out the front door. "Have fun! Make good choices!" She slams the door shut and locks it so I run back inside. Damn it, now I'm really stuck with Jorden.

It's not because he isn't a good guy or that he is ugly, I just don't like him the way he likes me. This happens every time, I like the guy but he doesn't like me or the guy likes me and I don't like him. It's never a win-win situation. Someone always gets hurt. Usually me. "Hey! Are you ready for our date?" I look around to see Jorden standing on the street, with his arms filled with blankets and a bag.

"Uh sure. What's with all of this? Are you moving in underneath the pier?" I tease, poking at his stash. All he does is roll his eyes in response and motions for me to walk beside him. I quickly shuffle up to his side and glance up at him. He keeps on adjusting his shit in his arms, as if he is about to drop them. "Do you need help?" I ask.

"Yes, if you could take the box of caramel popcorn on the bottom and hide them in your bag or else they'll confiscate them." He explains, lifting his arm so the box falls into my grip. Before we reach the sand, I quickly shove the box into my bag, having to make room since I brought my own snacks too.

Jorden and I walk up to the ticket booth aka the snack bar, as he purchases tickets for the movie If I Stay. I'm not going to tell him that I've already seen it, back when it first came out because I love this movie and it couldn't hurt to freshen up on details.

There aren't very many people here, so we pick the perfect spot on the sand to place our blanket. I'm the first to plop down on it, I don't know I just love sitting on the beach and not having the sun beating down on me. "I brought a small pillow if you need it," Jord holds up a UCLA throw pillow and carefully places it on the blanket in front of us. "and as you can see, I brought some caramel toffee popcorn." He triumphantly smiles.
