No matter how much I didn't want Monday to come, it arrived quicker then I thought possible. Who knew weekends could be short. Not that I enjoyed my weekend either. After leaving Julie's it was all perfect performances with perfect fake smiles. I didn't get the chance to see Jackson either, the boy pretty much disappearing from the club. I thought I saw him once, standing in a corner, just watching me, but he must have poofed out when I took a double take. I didn't trust him, and therefore I started to contemplate the trust I had in my father. As I got dressed, I thought back to the quick conversation I had with Jackson. He seemed calculating, like every move I made would be analyzed by him.
I just finished getting ready when I heard a small noise next to my door. I finished applying mascara as I spoke.
"Thank god you're here Willie, can you walk me to school-" I stopped talking when I turned to face Jackson, not Willie. "Um, Good morning?" I say confused. Speak of the Devil, I mumbled under my breath.
"Good morning Camilla. Your father asked me to take you to school today."
"Oh, okay." I hid my disappointment, but then on the otherside, I could use this time to get to know him. "Also you can just call me Cami, Camilla's too formal." I gave him a small smile, but it was only returned with a curt nod. "Just give me a second, I was planning on walking today."
"Yes Camil- Cami." I smiled slightly when he corrected himself. Maybe he wasn't too bad. I quickly put on my shoes and applied some lip-gloss. I grabbed my back, making sure everything was in there. I froze when I saw my song book in there, something I didn't remember putting in.
"Is everything alright?" I nod, quickly zipping my bag up.
"Yup, I'm ready. We should probably go so I'm not late." I smiled at him as I walked out of my room and up to the club. He followed me until we got about a block away from the club, catching up.
"Are we currently visible?"
"Yes, is that okay?" He nods. "May I ask why my dad asked you to walk me?"
"Willie had business to do, and your father know how much you love to walk."
"Well I could have walked alone." He stopped, grabbing my arm. I looked down at him in shock, the movement being harsh. He took a large step in front of me.
"Your father doesn't want you walking alone anymore." He towered over me, causing a slight panic to grow inside of me.
"Why not." His grip got a little tighter as anger flared slightly in his eyes. I sucked in a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves.
"Because that is what he wants for you. I will also be there to pick you up from school. No more extending your energy further then want it needs to be." I tried to rip my arm away from him, but instead he grabbed my other one as well.
