summary: you are taylor's younger sister, who's a gay mf :)
"Bye, Taylor!" you shouted to your older sister as you left for school. "Bye, y/n!" she called back. You put your earphones in and walked to your least favourite place on earth.
The only thing you liked about it was that you got to see your girlfriend. You adored her, with all your heart. She was your sun, moon and stars. You wanted to tell Taylor about her, you really did, you were just scared about how she would react.
Of course she would be supportive, but a little voice in the back of your mind kept telling you otherwise.
"Hey baby," you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist as you closed your locker. "Hey," you inhaled her familiar scent. "How are you?" she asked you. "Fine, you?" you fiddled with her rings. "Good, now that you're here," she kissed your temple.
"I love you," you whispered to her. "I love you too," she squeezed your hand. "Let's get to class, we don't want Mr Evans to yell at us," you slipped out from her embrace. "Alright, alright," she groaned.
After a long day of school, your girlfriend walked you home, pecking your cheek before leaving. Taylor walked out of the kitchen into the hallway, "how was your day." You sighed, walking into her open arms, "boring."
"I bet," she chuckled. "Can you help me with a chord I'm struggling with on guitar?" you looked up at her. "Of course I can," she smiled down at you before kissing the top of your head.
"Okay so, it's an A Minor 9," you explained to her. "That chord is so horrible to learn, I swore it would be the death of me when I was learning guitar," she groaned. After a while, you finally had the chord almost perfect, smiling with joy at it.
"I'm proud of you," Taylor grinned proudly of you. "Thanks," you giggled.
When you went to sleep that night, those four words played over and over in your mind. I'm proud of you. That's all you wanted to hear from her if you came out to her. Although, you knew it wasn't as simple as that.
Your mind was wandering, head spinning and heart racing as you attempted to get up to get some water. Your chest started to tighten, restricting your breathing. You backed into the wall behind you, stumbling slightly to the floor.
You pulled your legs to your chest and buried your face in your knees. You were sure your ragged breathing would wake someone up as you tried to control it to be silent, but to no avail.
Suddenly, the door burst open, although you weren't really aware of it. You could faintly hear Taylor's voice as she called your name. Tears were streaming down your face and you were shaking violently.
"Y/n? Y/n what's wrong?" she tried to get your attention, not wanting to touch you in case you weren't okay with it. You reached out for her hand and pulled her towards you. You relaxed slightly into her familiar embrace as you instantly felt a sense of safety.
"Taylor?" you asked her, quietly. "Yeah?" she tucked some hair behind your ear. "I'm gay," tears began streaming down your face again. "I'm so proud of you," she whispered in your ear, "thank you for trusting me enough to tell me this, I am always here for you no matter what."
This just made you cry harder as she picked you up and sat you down on your bed. She sat next to you, holding you tightly, protecting you in a way. "I will always love you," she lay down with you. "I will always love you too," you muttered back before shutting your eyes and falling asleep.
"Then I'm sure you'll accept me when I tell you I'm bi," she whispered, admiring your peaceful sleeping form.
