Chapter 5 : Tragedy Strikes

Aiden

This girl just can't chill for one second. I get it she hates my guts but she will just have to get over herself. She is stuck with me till one of us die, and it sure isn't gonna be her that's for sure.

Suddenly there was a huge explosion from down stairs. She grabbed her dagger and pretty much flew down the stairs. I followed closely behind her. When we got down the stairs Father Remose lay on the ground, bleeding severely. Rocky ran over to him.

"Father, Father Stay with me!!!" She began to cry.

Father Remose

I lay there on the ground, my wounded body aching all over. Suddenly I thought I heard Rocky's voice calling my name. I opened my eyes barely to see her above me.
Minutes before I was walking towards the stairs when a grenade flew through the window of the Monastery and landed by my feet. I managed to run a few feet before it exploded.

I looked towards the window it came from and seen the demon who through it through and at me. His name was Arkasoon, one of the few demons aloud to inhabit this world. I blinked and came back to my senses.

"Rocky .... I am a-afraid I will not last much longer. Be careful, mmm-many people in this world want you dead. Remember, I love you Rocky. Don't ever forget that. "I said at a whisper, my voice growing weaker by the second.

I looked over at Aiden.

"Take care of her boy, I trust that you will."

Then I looked back at Rocky, tears running down my face, managed a weak smile and mouthed the words

"I love you" then watched everything go black....

Rocky

It happened that fast, Father, the only person I had left, died in my arms. I buried my head into his shoulder and cried.

"FATHER! I LOVE YOU, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! I NEED YOU!!!"

I would have continued but sobbing took over and I silently cried over my Fathers lifeless body. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and strong arms wrap around me. I assumed they were Aiden's. I turned around and started to hug him, while feeling like I was dyeing inside. He pulled me up and carried me outside.

"We need to get what we need to survive. Go pack yourself one bag that isn't bright or hard to carry. Then we will go get Stormy. Since she knows about you they will be after her as well OK. Don't look over at Father Remose when we go back inside. I will go get all the supplies we will need, food, water, weapons, you know, the basics. Now, let's get moving. "

He said, giving me a promising smile, and then a hug then pulled me inside the Monastery. We walked back inside and I followed Aiden into the kitchen.

"Go pack you and I a bag grab some stuff for your friend Stormy as well, they will use her against you, just like they did to Father Remose. While you do that I will go get some necessities that we will need."

He said walking to the podium and sliding it out of the way.

"While you were asleep, Father Remose and I talked; he told me if anything was to happen to him that I was to protect you at all cost, even if it kills me. He also told me where all of his weapons were and anything that we would need is located. Hurry up and I will meet you at the front door. If you need my help, just holler, just don't do anything stupid."

Aiden looked at me and smiled. I nodded my head at him and walked up the stairs towards my room. Once I got there I grabbed my nap-sack and started shoving my bag. Then I packed ne for Stormy in a different bag. Once I finished that I put my combat boots on and went to Fathers room. It looked like he was the same size as Aiden and I know he has some normal every-day close. Hopefully they fit.

Aiden

While Rocky was upstairs doing whatever she does, I pulled out some guns and bullets. At the bottom of the chest under the podium, there was a sword with a red and black hilt. The sheath of it had silver spirals coming up it. I pulled it out and felt power surge through my body. Then I thought about what Father Remose told me.....

"At the bottom of the chest there is a sword, protect it until you find its owner, when you do they you and anyone around will sense it. Once the owner releases it from the sheath, they will feel a power surge throughout their body unlike anything they have ever felt before...."

I thought to myself thinking was I the one he was talking about while putting the sword in the black sleeve in the bottom of the chest and threw it onto my back. I then walked over to the book case in the back of that room and pulled out the book that he told me to that would reveal the secret compartment in the wall, and just like he said, there it was. I grabbed the bag of money that he told me to get and anything else I thought that we needed. After I through it all into the black backpack at my feet, I closed the wall and walked over to the door with the bag. Then I heard Rocky's voice from outside.

"Aiden, I'm out here let's go!"

She said in a kind, yet sad tone. I turned around wondering how she got past me and walked outside and didn't see her.

"Rocky, where are you? This isn't funny."

I said this girl is starting to worry me. Then I heard a window open above me.

"What the hell are you talking about I'm about to be done up her. Why are you outside?"

It was Rocky. But she was just outside then I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. Before I could get my defense up, the person gave me a swift, strong kick to the face and everything went black......
