CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN

Tyler's POV

I'd rather get blackmailed or even come fight me. But kidnapping? Jesus it's become so boring. I make it sound like I want an upgraded version but I don't, I'm just kinda bored of it.

I've been talking to myself for the past couple hours, I wonder where they took but cause this walk has been hell. I can't hear any cars close by or anything other than woodland animals. Stopped a couple times for water from a lake and then rested. It's getting late and I think it's better for me to find somewhere to sleep because I'm exhausted.

I wonder how Clara's doing. And Izzy...And Elijah. Oh my poor boy, I just know he will be going through a lot. A sigh releases and I shake my head trying to think about something else. I'm the far distance I can see a large tree with some large rocks. Looks like I've found where I'm sleeping.

OOOO AN IDEA! But it can't be done till the morning.

Walking to the tree, my feet ache and I collapse to the floor. It's hard with sticks but I try to make myself comfortable. I'm still in my suit making me think they took me from the office. I still can't remember shit but oh well I guess. I just try to take in the nature and the smell of the forest. It's calming in a way, I'm so hungry but I can't trust any of the berries I've seen on the way here. Izzy would be the best person to ask what berries are safe or not.

I miss my kids.

I miss my wife.

Furry. Something furry next to me. Please lord let it not be a bear! I slowly open my eyes to see it's a small dog. It's sleeping next to me. It's fucking adorable...I soon realise that it's a wolf? You can tell by its structure and features. I slowly move up and stretch, when I look down the wolf stares at me and then walks off.

Time to action out that idea. Stretching a little more, I start my climb up the tree. Nearly slipped a couple times but it has a good grip. I grab onto one more branch then pull myself up to the top where I see more trees. But when I look east of me I see a clear road, it's not too far. Probably another two hour walk? Or faster if I run? My stomach rumbles and I groan.

As soon as I start getting down I hear growls to see the wolf again...I get to the ground and he doesn't do anything. Just growls then follows me. "I have a dog already. I don't think my wife will be happy with me bringing you home" I say while laughing. I just watch the pup as it walks with me. Then I hear branches and voices making me immediately hide behind on of the trees. The wolf growls and I hush it, then pick it up.

"The house is in ashes. No way she survived that"

It's a mans voice, it's deep. I hear at least three sets of foot steps, seems like they are walking closer to me with him not ready for. I got a hammer and a pup in hand. Brilliant. I look at the pup and he looks at me, I slowly put him down and hope he doesn't make noise. Then I wait. "Why are we here again?"

"I need to pee"

Men.

"So Boss said we should go after the wife next. She's fucking hot...so sexy"

I hear chuckles, "We can play with her for a bit. Can't let that body go to waste"

My blood is boiling and I can hear them get closer and closer. I watch until their in front of me and quickly run. I see their car parked on the grass not too far from me. Using all my might, I see the car not to far but then I hear gun shots and a bullet misses me, hitting the tree. "Fuck"

The entire time the pup is running next to me. Then another shot and I hear whispers to see he's injured his leg. I pick him up and get to the car, the doors shut so I smash the window with the hammer and throw the pup in then got in. As soon as I drove off, I could hear the gun shots nearer then the slows down. "THE FUCKING TIRES!"
