LEGACY

**"I believe I mentioned this yesterday, but for now, Class 1-A of the hero course will be focusing on getting their provisional licenses."
"Hai!" the class responded back without a second thought.
Damn, I really need to polish up my Japanese.
"A hero license bears with it the great responsibility of human life," Aizawa stared each of us down. "Of course, the exam to receive one is very difficult. Even the provisional license has only a 50% passing rate every year."
"Just the provisional license is that hard?" Minoru wailed.
That hard? I side-eyed him. It's 25% back home.
"Yes," Aizawa sighed. "The test will likely be more difficult this year as a result of the... Kamino incident."
All eyes seemed to have looked everywhere in the classroom except Katsuki's direction.
With a tired yawn, Aizawa announced, "Well that will be all for homeroom." As soon as the door closed behind him, the room erupted into chatter.
"Are you guys excited..."
"...one step closer to becoming heroes..."
"...gonna be really hardddd."
I spaced out for a minute before digging my hand through my backpack. What class do we have right now?
"It's aight, I got you," a voice on my right commented. "First up is Hero Course lessons, training, or specials."
"Thanks, Mina," I turned to her. Wait.
"Which class do we have first again?" Didn't she just mention three different classes?
She chuckled at me for a second before clearing her throat. "Actually I don't know yet!" She giggled.
Before I could ask another question, she beamed, "Every day it's a surprise! The teacher we have determines the class we have as well. So if Aizawa stays after homeroom, we have Hero Course lessons. If it's All Might, we have Hero Course Training. If it's Midnight, or someone else, we have specials."
"So right now, we just... wait?"
"Yup," she nodded.
But as if by command, the door slid open to reveal everyone's favorite teacher.
"Senseiiiii!?" the class gasped. "Why are you back???"
Aizawa surveyed the room uninterestedly. "To teach my favorite students."
"Really?" Minoru wondered excitedly.
"No," he deadpanned. "Midnight was supposed to teach your class today, but the crowd of reporters that you all passed by this morning has become violent. She's currently preoccupied with crowd control."
Aizawa subtly let his eyes rest on me for a little bit longer than everyone else.
"Sensei," Tsuyu croaked. "Does that mean you're covering her class for today?"
He stared her down for a few seconds before turning to Tenya. "This is a free period. Iida, you're in charge."
The navy-haired boy quickly stood up. "Hai, sensei!" He saluted.
Aizawa then shifted to Momo. "Yaoyorozu, support him well."
The vice-president stood up. "Hai, sensei!" she affirmed, crossing her arms behind her back.
