You gasped as Tsukishima blocked one of Ushijima's powerful spikes, and watched him crack a genuine smile. Everyone was so surprised, even Ushijima himself was shocked as well. Noya and Tanaka jumped on him and practically knocked over the beanpole because they were so pumped up with adrenaline.
But the rush soon faded when you saw Tsukishima bent over in agony clutching his hand. The team immediately rushing over to see what was wrong.
Tsuki was clutching his hand and when he opened his palm you could see the glisten of blood. Coach Ukai ran over from the sidelines to see what happened and you watched as his eyes got wide.
"Y/n" he called you over. "Take Tsukishima to the infirmary, he needs to be patched up."
"Right!" you exclaimed, you grabbed your bag not wanting to be stolen while you were out. Tsukishima shuffled over to you still holding onto his bleeding hand.
You both made it out the the hallway of the gym only to be greeted by Yaichi, Tanaka's sister and some former Karasuno player that helped the team; Takinoue and Shimada. And following them was a very tall boy with sandy blond hair, whom you saw Tsuki scowl at upon his arrival.
"What happened!" Yaichi exclaimed, her eyes filled with worry.
"Its nothing, the ball just bent my pinkey finger back a little too far and took a few layers of skin with it" Tsukishima said gritting his teeth.
"Hmm if you say so.." Tanaka's sister said with a skeptical look on her face. "Well we're going to go back to watching the game." And the four of them started walking back to the stands leaving only the tall blond boy standing infront of us.
"Im glad you're ok Kei, that block you just made was amazi-" he started before he was cut off by Tsuki.
"This is not the time Akiteru, i'm hurt can't you see." Tsukishima said, his eyes narrowing.
The boy looked a little taken aback from his statement but he simply nodded and turned around to follow the others.
"Was that your brother?" you asked him?
Tsukishima took a deep breath, "Yeah... I told him not to come here, but as you can see..." he scoffed.
"Oh-" you frowned and gripped you bag strap. You both continued down the hall and stopped at the nurses office. Tsukishima knocked on the door frame with his uninjured hand and the woman inside turned around to face them.
"Ah you must be number 11, i saw you on tv! come over ill bandage you up."
Tsuki nodded and turned to you. "You can go back now, ill be fine."
You smiled and gave him a wave, and turned back to the hallway. It wasn't long until your phone buzzed in your back pocket. Stopping you pulled it out and saw a text from Yaichi:
