Greg was sitting on the sofa in his room while Cebu pops open a wine. When the door opened, Greg looks over and raised a brow “Is he calm now? Sheesh. He's worse than a woman on her period”
Philia closed the door behind her and sat down opposite to her brother, “Tell me now”
Greg sighs and leans back, gesturing Cebu to pour him a wine. “It's that forsaken island again— seriously why can't we just give it to him so that we don't have to fight?”
Philia wasn't surprised, “I see, and that's what made kuya snap?”
Greg shuddered when he recalled the killing intent martial was excluding when he heard the report from Cebu. “Fucking hell, it was terrifying, it reminded me of papa”
Philia couldn't help but soften her eyes when her father was mentioned. She wasn't able to fully reminisce about ‘other philia's’ childhood but now that Greg had mentioned it, her childhood was rather different to her and much closer to reality.
Kati was a strict person and often viewed ‘other philia’ as inferior to her brothers. He wasn't the type to show affection nor open about his feelings for the three. He was often working, and training giving no time to the brothers and sister. Even Perla, their mother, was entirely different.
She shows her obvious favorability towards Greg and Martial, often forgetting ‘other philia's’ existence. At first, this made philia surprised, weirdly enough, it didn't make her sad or depress about it as if she's long used to it.
Even though her own parents in her own world were nice and loving parents. They both showed equal treatment and was loved by all...
Is this perhaps the reason why ‘other philia’ acts the way she is? Is it because of the lack of attention from both parents? Derived from their time and affection? If so, then philia can finally understand her even just a little bit— but it's so surprising why philia isn't surprised by it...
Greg noticed the subtle changes of philia's expression and immediately changed the subject; he knew even as a kid that philia was often neglected so the talk of parents doesn't really feels right.
He recalled the time that philia was punished by kati by locking her in a room and perla's punishment with a broom or stick. Even as a kid, he already notice the big difference they treat him and Martial than philia. He never even once experienced Perla hitting him, much less kati.
He cleared his throat and took a sip from his wine, “Anyways, that's the reason why martial is pissed as fuck. There are also details which I don't know— and don't care, but I can tell that it wasn't a good one”
Cebu, standing behind him, nodded.
Philia rubbed her temples and thought how she's going to fix this. In her first life she often goes to China to teach him a lesson, and by teaching him a lesson; she beats him up through a treaty duel.
Philia, “oh... maybe I could do the same?”
Greg raised a brow and took a mouthful of wine after asking, “Do what the same?”
Philia replies with a straight face, “beat him up” and got up from her seat.
Greg coughed and spilled his drink after hearing her reply, hurriedly saying, “W-w-wait! What the hell do you mean ‘beat him up?’ are you out of your mind?”
Philia, “No, he's (China) out of his mind”
Greg reasoned, “Still! You're talking to a country master who did a lot of achievements! Has military power! Has money that he can make a bed out of! And a long history of greatness!”
