"where was she kept?"

"Good morning Alpha",they all chorus , bowing their heads.

"Morning"

"The last cage is hers",one of the pack guards reply, pointing at the direction.

"Thank you."

"I'll go alone",I tell Dixon ,there was something I needed to find out that has been on my mind all night.

"Sure. I'll be waiting"

"Thank you".

I walk to the cage ,she appeared to be sleeping.A vanilla fragrance hit my nose, that was the scent that drove me to that place but it was quite faint then ,now it engulfed the whole room. My wolf was restless with excitement,I couldn't believe this.

"Mate?"

She turned and looked at me, she looked shocked and scared. I took that time to examine her features . She was now in her human form,she had wavy black hair and her skin was light. She looked pretty although being  very rough.

I know she is thinking the same thing,she has a surprise look on her face but didn't utter a word.

"Did you eat last night?"

"Ye-- ,yes - and thank you for saving me"

"It's nothing".

I couldn't think straight I had so many questions to ask but now was not the time to storm her with questions.

"Later information will be passed to you. And know your place , your a rogue so expect compulsory punishment. Even though I saved you,we have some rules in this place"

She looked at me in disbelief,I wasn't having it,I had no time for a pity party.

"You need to calm down tristan"Dixon says as I walk from one end of the room to the other.My thought were haywire.

How could I possibly calm down?how could this be ? How could she be my mate?  and why is she coming at this critical time ?and more importantly who hurt her like that ?

"She's a rogue and I just brought her into my pack just like that",I manage to say .what was I thinking ,I wasn't even thinking. All that was on my mind was save her because I needed to clear my doubts. I needed to know if she was my mate that I was meeting for the first time at her point of death.

"You know you don't owe the people an explanation all the time".

He was right. "Dixon I understand that. Although we operate monarchy and not democracy but the people also deserve to be listened to and have opinions. I may be the ruthless alpha but I care about the people and this pack ".

After thinking further,maybe they don't need an explanation for now.

" maybe just this once I don't have to explain myself"

"Good, finally.how will you deal with the rumors?"

"Who dares talk about their luna in a negative light?"

"Your going to make it public?"

"Yes ,that's the only way this is acceptable."

"Yeahh that's true I guess"

"Please make sure she eats ,she is going to have one week segregation."

"Why would you torture your mate like that? you've see her condition right?"

"Mate or not she has to follow the rules ,I already told her she should expect a punishment. she's had enough grace of even being carried into this pack by my orders"
