Hands. Dozens of them. All pale with black nails sharp enough to cut someone's head off. Amber struggles against their hold, but it does nothing. All that happens is the water around her splashing around. "Let me go, let me go, let me go!" She kicks and screams but nothing works.

To her horror, a scaley, slimey, pale hand with black nails inches its way to her face. "Beautiful," it whispers. The hand slowly strokes her face. She tries to pull away, but she can't. No matter how hard she tries, she can't move. It's like someone paralized her. She took no notice of the weight on her limbs.

"Don't leave us," a voice echoes in her head. That's when Amber realizes that there's no point in fighting them. She's not strong enough to get away. Her eyes fixate on the gray sky. The sun is nowhere to be seen. The creatures slowly add pressure to her body, and the water rises. Amber smiles. Maybe this won't be so bad.

"I won't leave you. I promise."

The water fills up her lungs, leaving an intense burning sensation behind. She closes her eyes when the gray sky slowly blurs out of focus. "I'll be with you forever now."

A silhouette swiftly moves through the woods, avoiding the roots of the trees and rushes down to the lake.

"Oh, Amber. I told you to stay away from here." She stares at her daughter's bloody body floating around the lake. "They never listen to my warnings." She turns around and walks into the cabin, not giving her daughter a second thought.

"It's a shame I had to lose her too."

The end :)
