Samantha and her best friend Hayley Marshall have been in New Orleans for a month now looking for Hayley's biological parents.
They've asked around but still no luck, they have been sleeping at Samantha's cousin's apartment.
They've been going to Rousseau's when they want to take a break from their search. Hayley loves the Gumbo that is served there.
They were now taking a break, sitting at Rousseau's waiting for their food
"Third time in here this week " The bartender Jane-Anne says to them
Sam chuckles thinking about her friends obsession with the gumbo "Well my friend Hayley is obsessed with the Gumbo Jane-Anne " Sam tells the bartender making her friend shove her playfully on the shoulder
Hayley smiles and rolls her eyes at what Sam just said "Don't act like you don't like it too" she says to Sam
Sam just sticks her tongue out at her friend playfully and Jane-Anne laughs
" You know, ladies in the ninth ward say my sister, Sophie bleeds a piece of her soul into every dish" Jane-Anne tells them gesturing to her sister who was cooking in the restaurant kitchen
"So...we asked around the Quarter about my family " Hayley says to Jane-Anne
Jane-Anne looked at her and asked "And?"
Sam decides to answer " Nothing, zero. We can't find a single person that knows them or has information "
Hayley signs "I'm about to give up now. I don't think I'll ever find them" she says sadly
Sam turned to her friend "hey, don't give up yet, there's still time. I won't let you give up that easy " Sam tells Hayley holding her hand in comfort
" Because Hayley, people like you were run out of here years ago" Jane-Anne tells them
Sam and Hayley looked at each other frowning alittle "What do you mean people like me? " Hayley asked looking at Jane-Anne
Jane-Anne pulled out a map and walked around the bar, and stands between the girls "In the Bayou, they call the werewolves Roux Ga Roux"she circled a single area in the map "You guys head out there, you'll find what you're looking for " she tells them and then placed both her hands on Sam and Hayley's shoulders
Sam furrow her eyebrows confused at how Jane-Anne knew about Hayley being a werewolf . She then realized that Jane-Anne is a witch, making her suspicious of
Jane-Anne's intentions.
Hayley took the map,folding it while Sam took her bag. Both women stand up and walk towards the door
"Be careful "Jane-Anne tells them " it's the last place you'd ever want to go" she says
Sam looks at her suspiciously while Hayley just nods and they both walk out
