The next day, Sam is sitting alone in her room while reading Elijah's journal.

Elijah's voice-over : "I have noticed a difference in my siblings. Our band strains beneath the pressure of our life as vampires"

"Each day removes them further from the humanity once possessed. My sweet sister, Rebekah, has grown quite indifferent to brutality"

[IN A FLASHBACK ]

Rebekah is seen killing the vampire's who attacked Sam and Hayley in the Quarter the other night

Elijah's voice-over : "However, the true problem remains my brother, Niklaus"

[IN A FLASHBACK]

Klaus can be seen pouring petrol over the dead vampire's and burning them. Sam is standing at the door, watching him and then walks back inside.

Elijah's voice-over : "He continues to hide his loneliness with cruelty. Still, I cling to the hope that I, as their eldest brother, can lead them down the correct path, a path charged with the power of a family united. For if I fail, our family's legacy will end in darkness"

"I cannot believe you disposed of those vampire's without me. You know how I love to set things on fire" Rebekah says as she walks into the living room where Klaus is sitting

"Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot? " Klaus says and smirks "Besides, they were my responsibility. They attached the helpless pregnant girl who happens to be carrying my children and her werewolf bestfriend " he says

Rebekah looks at him amused "Oh, I am so moved by your new found sense of fatherly duties towards the little human carrying your hybrid bun in her oven" she says and Klaus chuckles

Sam and Hayley enters the room "Well, the werewolf and the human world like to know what the plan is " Hayley says as she looks at the Mikealson siblings

Klaus looks at the girls "Well, that depends what plan you mean love, my plan for global domination, or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world " he says and Rebekah takes a pencil from the desk beside her and throws it in Klaus' direction but he catches it before it could impale him

Sam sighs and rolls her eyes at what they're doing "I think what Hayley means.... is that we would like to know how you plan on getting Elijah back from Marcel, your frenemy" she says and sits down on the chair

"Yes, Elijah, the good brother. You know the one who is now in the possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back" Hayley says looking at Klaus

Klaus smirks as he looks at Hayley "In the front, if we're being specific" he says

"Nik, you and Rebekah said that you would get him back. So is there a plan, or what ?" Sam asks him

Klaus sighs and turns to Sam "Yes love, we did. And we plan on keeping that promise." he tells her gently making the other two girls look at each other confused  about his behavior as he talks to Sam "And firstly, Marcel in not my mortal enemy little wolf, he's my friend" Klaus says and the girls roll their eyes "Albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter, but a friend nonetheless. And secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenaged witch, I certainly would have weighed my options abit differently " he explains to them and then turns to Rebekah "And thirdly, sister please"
