~Y/n pov~

I groaned as I woke up to a loud storm. I just wanted to sleep.

Turning over, I tried to get back to sleep, burying my face into my pillow.

Then, there was a faint knock. I almost didn't hear it.

Who could be knocking at this time?

Sighing, I pulled myself out of bed and opened the door.

I came face to face with Loki.

His eyes were teary and he had a scared expression on his face.

"Loki?" I asked.

He was about to reply when a flash of lighting followed by thunder scared him.

Loki wrapped his arms around me tightly and buried his face in my neck.

I gently ran my hands through his hair.

"Are you scared of thunder?"

He nodded.

"Come in." I pulled away from the hug and pulled him into my room, closing the door.

He immediately latched back onto me when there was another flash.

"Hey, it's okay."

I led him over to my bed and sat down, pulling him down beside me.

Loki wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head against my shoulder.

"You should've told me about this sooner." I sighed.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled, "I didn't want to bother you."

I smiled sadly, "You wouldn't bother me. Want to talk about it?"

Running my fingers through his hair, I attempted to calm him down.

"The thunder reminds me of Thor and how he was always better than me. It also reminds me of his power and I'm afraid of it." Loki confessed.

"I'm here. You don't have to be afraid."

"Thank you."

I gently wiped the tears of Loki's face and stared at him for a few seconds.

"Try to get some sleep, okay?" I told him, pushing him down and pulling the covers over him.

Standing up, I went over to the window and made sure the curtains were fully closed.

As soon as I went back to the bed, a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the bed.

Loki snuggled as close to me as he could, wrapping his arms around my waist and burying his face into my chest.

"It's okay. As long as I'm here you'll be safe."

Loki nodded against me.

I hummed gently to try and distract him from the loud sounds of the storm. Running my fingers through his hair, I calmed him down.

Eventually, his breathing evened out and he fell asleep.

"I love you." I whispered, planting a kiss on his forehead.

Then, I got comfortable myself, taking comfort in his warmth.

After a few moments, I succumbed to sleep myself.
