Emilie's POV
I was peacefully sleeping when I was suddenly flipped out of my bed. "Ow." I said. "Good your up." I looked and saw Isaac and Scott. "Is there a fire?" I asked. "No." They said. "Did you or one of the pups start the apocalypse?" I asked. "I don't know how any of them could do that." Scott said. "It's pretty easy Papa." Isaac said to Scott. "Still getting used to that, and no." Scott said. "Than why did you wake me up?" I asked standing up. "Stiles is missing." They said. "Did you hear anything, Mama?" Isaac asked. "I wouldn't be sleeping if I did." I said and they looked scared. "Okay." They said. "Did you call anyone?" I asked. "Well Sage knows." Isaac said trying to be helpful. "Any adult?" I asked. "No." They said I took out my phone and called Isabelle. "Emmy this better be important Conner and I were alseep." Isabelle said. "Stiles is missing Izzy." I said. "I'm getting dressed and so is Conner." Isabelle said hanging up. "Hey, Stiles." Scott said putting the phone on speaker. "Did you call him? Did you call my dad?" Stiles said. "No. Just Isaac and Emilie. We're coming to find you. Can you figure out where you are? Try to find something and tell us where to look." Scott said. "It's a basement. I think I think I'm in some kind of basement." Stiles said. "In a house?" I asked. "No. It looks bigger. Like industrial. I think there's a furnace. But it's cold. It's freezing down here. I gotta turn the I gotta turn the phone off. It's going to die." Stiles said. "Wait, wait, wait. What else is there? What do you see?" Scott said. "The phone's dying. I can't talk. I have to go." Stiles said. "Please Stiles, why are you whispering?" Scott asked and we looked confused. "Because I think there's someone in here with me." Stiles whispered and the line went dead. Soon Isabelle, Conner, Lydia, Grace, Molly, and Aiden showed up. "How did you know? Did he call you guys too?" Scott asked. "I heard it." Lydia said. "Saw it." Grace said. "Don't ask. It gets more confusing when you ask." Aiden said and Molly nodded. "Not as confusing as this. He uses red for unsolved cases." Lydia said and we saw his room was covered in red yarn. "Maybe he thinks he's part of an unsolved case?" Grace said. "Or is an unsolved case." I said. "Hold on. Is he still out there? You don't know where he is?" Lydia asked us. "He said he was in an industrial basement somewhere. We came here to get a better scent and tell Millie." Scott said. "What else did he say?" Conner asked. "Something's wrong with his leg. It's bleeding. And he's freezing." Isaac said. "Tonight's the coldest night of the year. It's going to drop into the 20s." Aiden said. "What did Dad say?" Isabelle asked. "We kind of didn't tell him yet." Scott said. "Stiles is bleeding and freezing and you didn't call his dad?" Lydia asked furious, now I can see the red head in her. "He made me promise not to. We can find him by scent. If he was sleepwalking he couldn't have gotten far, right?" Scott said. "You didn't notice his Jeep is gone, did you?" Grace said. "You promised you wouldn't call our dad. I didn't." Isabelle said. "Wait, Belle, hold on. I can get more help. I can call Derek, Allison, Eileen. Everyone except for the cops." Scott said and we all looked at him. "Great idea. You guys remember Lydia gets these feelings when someone's about to die, right?" Grace pointed out. "You don't have to call his dad. It's five minutes to the station." Scott said. "We'll catch up." Lydia said. "What? Why?" I asked grabbing my coat. "There's something here." Lydia said. "Yeah. Evidence of total insanity." Molly said. "We can figure out what's wrong with him after we find a way to keep him from freezing to death." Conner said. "Go. We'll be right behind you." Lydia said. Conner drove Isabelle and I to the station we walked in. "Oh Isabelle and Emilie nice to see you even though it's late." Jordan Parrish, Dad's new deputy, said. "Hi Parrish we need to talk to our Dad." I said and we walked in and Dad looked at us. "Izzy, Emmy what's wrong?" Dad asked seeing as I was still in my pjs. "Stiles is missing." We said. "What?" Dad asked. "His Jeep is missing and he called Scott saying he is in an industrial basement." I said and Dad walked out explaining it to the station and we nodded. "Come on. If his Jeep is gone, that's where we start. Parrish, let's get an APB out on a blue 1980 CJ-5 Jeep. Cordova, I want a list of any kind of industrial basement or sub-level of any building that he could've gotten into while sleepwalking. It's the coldest night of the year so far. So If he's out their barefoot in just a T-shirt, he could already be hypothermic. Let's move fast. Let's think fast. The two of you, come with me. Okay. Is there anything you need to tell me that I can't tell anyone out there?" Dad asked Isabelle and I. "Lydia and Grace knew he was missing." I said. "Can either help find him?" Dad asked. "Well, they're working on it." Isabelle said. "Anything else?" Dad asked. "Scott called Derek, Eileen, and Allison for help." I said. "Can they find him by scent?" Dad asked. We heard a knock and saw Parrish. "We got it, sir. We found the Jeep." Parrish said. We walked out and I texted the others to get to the hospital where Conner was following the cops. We found the Jeep dead. "It's dead. He must have left the lights on." Parrish said. "Why would he come here?" Officer Raymond asked Isabelle and I, we both shrugged. "Let's find out." I said and we walked in. "Security's doing sweeps of every floor. Nothing yet." Melissa said. "What about the basement?" Dad asked. "Follow me." Melissa said. "He's not here. Not anymore." Derek said seeing us and the others. "You mean the whole building?" I asked. "Gone." Derek said. "I'll go tell Dad." Isabelle said leaving. "Come on." Derek told Conner and I, we went up to the roof and saw Sage and Scott. "Conner can you try to call Allison?" Sage asked and Conner nodded. "Notice how strong the scent is up here? Ever hear of chemo signals?" Derek asked us. "Chemical signals that communicate emotion." I said. "And just our sweat can give off anger, fear or disgust. Take a deep breath and tell me what you feel." Derek said. "Stress." Scott said. "And anxiety." Derek said. "What was he doing up here?" Sage asked. "I don't know. But there was definitely some kind of struggle." Derek said. "With who?" The twins asked. "Himself." Derek said, I looked and remembered this was where Mom ended up after she thought Stiles and I tried to murder her. "EJ why don't I take you home?" Conner asked. "Yeah, I'm no good being just stressed here." I said and Conner nodded and got me in the car and drove me home and he went to get Allison who Isaac was also trying to get. I walked in and saw Grace, Lydia, and Aiden in Stiles bedroom. "Didn't you draw this?" Aiden asked Lydia. "Put that back." Lydia said. "It's yours right?" Aiden asked. "It's one of them. I guess." Lydia said. "He likes you a lot, doesn't he?" Aiden asked. "Yes he does, he knows me better than I know myself." Lydia said. "Hey guys. Nothing at hospital Derek and Molly headed to high school. Isaac and Conner going to find Allison. And Sage, Isabell, and Scott's with the Sheriff." I informed them and they nodded. "And we're standing in a bedroom staring at the walls." Grace said. "What did you just do? Did you touch one of the strings?" Lydia asked Aiden after he pulled one of the strings. "Maybe." Aiden said pulling one again. "What did that sound like to you?" Lydia asked us. "Like a string being pulled." I said. "You didn't hear people whispering?" Lydia asked. "We definitely did not hear people whispering." Grace, Aiden, and I said. "You didn't hear that?" Lydia asked us as she pulled the strings herself. "Lydia, I'm not sure anyone hears what you hear." Grace said. "They're whispering. Something about a house." Lydia said. "What house?" I asked. "That one." Lydia said pointing to a photo of a house. "What's Eichen House?" Aiden asked us. "A mental health center. It's where William Barrow, the shrapnel bomb, was committed." I said "Is that it?" Grace asked. "That's where he is. That's where Stiles is." Lydia said. We got to where Dad was. "Lydia, I don't want to say are you sure about this but no, he's here." Dad said. "I swear to God he's here." Lydia said. "I need access to all basement rooms in this facility." Dad said. "Hey, is this the exact transcript of Scott and Stiles's phone call? It's what he gave us. But these words. Stiles says, something smells terrible. my eyes are watering." Parrish said to me and I nodded. I saw them getting Stiles out and I sighed in relief. "Emmy go home you have school in a couple hours." Dad said. "I need a ride." I said. "I can drive you." Parrish offered. "Thanks Parrish." I said and we got in. He was driving and it wa peaceful. "You can call me Jordan." Jordan said. "Thanks." I said. We talked and he laughed at how crazy this town sounded. He dropped me off and I went straight to bed and woke up. I got up and got dressed for school today.

I got to school and wrapped my arms around Scott kissing him hello. "You okay?" He asked. "Yeah." I said shrugging. We found Lydia who was flinching at sounds. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah. I'm just a little hyper-sensitive to loud sounds today." Lydia said as lockers closed. "They're doing tests on Stiles all afternoon. I was going to go over at around 6:00 to visit. You want to come with me?" I asked. "I will." Scott said. "Me too." Sage said. "I should probably just go home." Lydia said. "You sure you're okay?" I asked. "Yeah. I'll text you later." Lydia said rushing off. We got to the hospital and I found Dad. "Hey Dad is Stiles good?" I asked and Dad hugged me tightly. "This is like the hug you gave me when Mom died." I sai worried. "You three can go talk to him." Dad said. We walked in and saw Stiles. "What did they find out?" Sage asked him. "What they're looking for, it's called frontotemporal dementia. Areas of your brain start to shrink. It's what mine and Emmy's mother had. It's the only form of dementia that can hit teenagers. And there's no cure." Stiles said and I started crying remembering what happened to my Mom. "Stiles, if you have it, we'll do something. I'll do something." Scott said. We stood with Dad where the Catscan was going on. "Okay, Stiles. This will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Now remember, try not to move. Even just a little bit. Stiles, you're going to hear that noise now. It's going to be a loud clanging. Kind of like a hammer hitting an anvil." The doctor said, Scott, Sage, and I left and we found Derek and Molly. "You know the stuff you we're telling me about chemo signals earlier? It reminded me of the time you we're teaching me to use anger to control the shift." Scott said. "I think you ended up teaching me more about that." Derek said. "Are you teaching us again?" Sage asked. "Think of it more like sharing a few trade secrets. You know, I took Cora back to South America, right? It's where she spent most of her time after the fire. But that's not the only reason I left. I needed to talk to my mother." Derek said. "Molly?" I asked. "I loved South America but I want to stay here." Molly said. "Talk to your dead mother?" Scott asked. "She told me something that changed my perspective on a lot of things. She said that my family didn't just live in Beacon Hills. They protected it. This town needs someone to protect it. Someone like you." Derek told us. "And someone like you to teach me a few trade secrets." Scott said. "What?" Derek asked. "Come on, you coming Babe?" Scott asked me. "I'll stay I want to know if Stiles will be okay or not." I said. "Okay." Scott said kissing me and left to go show Derek something. I held my knees to my chest and saw Melissa. "Oh no, that's the face you had when you were worried about your mom." Melissa said. "Yeah, but this time it's worse." I said. "How?" She asked. "Melissa last time I barely knew my Mom. Stiles and I have been through everything together." I said almost crying. She hugged me as I cried in her shoulder and she rubbed my back. Dad walked out and I looked at him. "Is he okay?" I asked. "The scan looked exactly like Claudia's." Dad said and I broke down crying right then and there not wanting to loose my brother
