"Loose all solar sails!"
The large white sails billowed out from the mast and Rose watched in amazement. The sails glowed in the sun. Rose inspected the sails as the crew called out to each other, all of them scattering around the deck.
It looked as if there were solar panels sewn into the sails.
No duh, they're called solar sails. Rose scolded herself. She leaned over the side of railing. It was beautiful. The view overlooked the bustling deck below and the even more bustling port they had been transported on about half an hour earlier. Rose heard Amelia calling her name.
"Now now, we don't want you falling overboard." She scolded gently and brought the girl over to where the wheel was. Rose stared at the wheel, not sure how she felt about all of what was happening around her.
She scanned the deck, and spotted a certain teenage boy that only a few minutes ago had been ordered to stay below deck. Rose scoffed.
He listens about as well as the kids do. She thought to herself with a shake of her head.
